Coffee in one hand and my dalmatian's leash in the other, i walk up the driveway to go see my best friend Kelly Severide. For the past 6 months i've been in DC training FBI agents with dogs. I got home last night at 3 am. At 9 am sharp, i found myself up and energized.  As i round the corner into the firehouse i see my best friend of 20 years. "You know i thought at least someone would be happy to see me."
the screams of my name can be heard all throughout the room. I was all but tackled down to the ground by Kelly. "KELLY EUGENE SEVERIDE, watch my damn coffee."
"sorry A. i've missed you so much."
Passing the coffee to Dawson and laying Bleu's leash down, i pulled Kelly into a tight hug. "i missed you too bubba." Pulling out of the hug i immediately reach for my iced coffee back. "the rest of the coffees are for you guys. just make sure kels has his." Walking away I pass Connie in the office area, "Good morning Connie, Is chief in his office."
With a nod of the head she responds, " Welcome back Arden, He's in there doing paperwork. " nodding my head I knocked on chiefs door.
He looked up, smiled and then waved me in. "Arden Voight, to what do i owe the pleasure."
"Hey I just wanted to let you know that I was back in town in case you need me."
"well i appreciate that Ar, you staying here for a little?"
Chuckling, "of course i am.", i responded.
After talking to chief for a few more minutes i headed out to the common room. "hey guys." i took a seat at the table after realizing squad was i. here instead of the apparatus floor.
"Hey Arden, how was D.C?" Hermann asked
"D.C was uh eventful. When i landed, Emily picked me up and went to her unit. My god was there some hot guys." everyone chuckled. " When i went to the event i was there for, i ended up being the only trainer for 20 dogs. i had to call some of my guys to come help. But once i had more help i trained all the dogs and got them into new units. and i may have taken one home."
"A, how much dogs do you have?" Capp questioned.
"including my dogs that stay with at work?" receiving a nod i continued. "Well let's see, at the district i have Blitz and Crash, the german shepards. Thor is downstairs with Platt, he's a bloodhound. Then at home i have Force, Maverick and Spike, they are my pit bulls. Goliath and Alaska are my Great Danes. Bleu, Jinx and Fidelity are my dalmations Then Ruger is little french bulldog. So that equals 12 dogs in total, 3 at the district then 9 at home."
" And who's the new one?" Dawson asked
"Fidelity, i'm giving her more training so Kelly can take her with him to work. I've already gotten approval from the higher up to get each firehouse in the city to get a certified dog. I know y'all have pouch here but she doesn't go out on calls with you and help. Fidelity will go on calls and help detect things you don't think is there."
I continuities talking with everyone at the firehouse for a few more hours until i decided it was time to head to the district to go see my Dad.
