Yugi dropped the item in his hands. No no no no no! he thought, realizing he wouldn't get to do what he was hoping upon doing. "Okay!" Yugi said, taking off his earrings and chokers. He hid the small item back in the suitcase before running down the stairs. He smelled one of his old favorite foods from when he was little: butaniku.
"Thanks..." Yugi muttered as he sat down. He really didn't want to eat.
"Your welcome, my mago," Solomon said. Yugi thanked the gods that he didn't have to ask if that was his grandfather. "So, do you like games?" Solomon asked. Yugi used to love games. After his mother and brother moved away, he hated them. They reminded him to much of his brother.
"Not really..." Yugi said, wishing he could be back in his bedroom.
"Would you like to tell me a little about yourself?" Solomon asked. Yugi really didn't want to, but he didn't want to hurt his grandfather's feeling. SLAM!!
Saved by the door! Yugi thought.
"I have a guest spending the night. i think you might like to meet him," Solomon said as someone walked into the kitchen.
"Konichiwa, Jii-chan. How are you?" a tan boy asked before he saw Yugi. "Futago no ototo?" he asked.
"H-Heba?" Yugi asked in response. The boy nodded, tears forming in his eyes.
"Yes..." Heba said before noticing all the black Yugi was wearing. Then, he noticed the previously ever-present smile his brother always had wasn't there. "What happened?" he asked.
Yugi scowled. "Daniel and Lily," he answered simply beefore standing up. "Now, if you'll please excuse me, I have some unpacking to do." Yugi walked off and went into his room to 'unpack', which he was eventually going to do, just not yet.
He pulled out the pocket-knife he had held in his hands before his grandfather called him to dinner and placed it in the pocket of his leather jacket.
"Yugi? Please speak with me. I haven't seen you in ten years," Heba asked from the other side of his door.
Yugi sighed. The only one who cares about me is here and I'm not even trying to talk to him. "Come in, Heba," he said. The door opened and bright amethyst eyes met with what used to be bright amethyst, but was now dull violet.
"I missed you..." Yugi gave a slight nod of his head.
"Missed you, too," Yugi said.
"How have you been?" Heba asked.
"Fine," Yugi lied. "Just fine..."
"Not me..." Yugi's eyes shot up at the cracking in his younger twins voice when he said that. His older brother by an hour instincts kicked in.
"What happened? Are you alright? Did Lily hurt you? Did she hit you?" he asked.
Heba showed Yugi the arms he'd been cutting, and Yugi showed his. "Same here, bro..." was Yugi's simple reply. "That bitch stole my little brother from me and caused him to hurt himself. She will pay!" Yugi said, pulling Heba into a hug. Heba hugged Yugi back. What Heba didn't know, was that his brother had cut far worse than him. Yugi cut his legs, hips, arms, hands, and even his feet. Never deep nough to end his life unless that's what he wanted, but always deep enough to cause blood to spring from them. Heba had only cut his arms.
Heba smiled, like he always did so his mother wouldn't thin anything was wrong, but this time, it was real. "I love you, Yugi," Heba said. Yugi just nodded in response as he pulled away from the hug and laid down in his bed.
