Derek looked at the ground nervously and said, "Well I gotta go, see ya around Hunt."

Derek had a long complicated surgery that took the rest of the day. Almost every person who was studying neuro was trying to get into the surgery but only a few were allowed in, including a specific fellow.

After finishing the surgery successfully, Derek was in the scrub room with a neuro student.

"You know the 'It's a beautiful day to save lives' thing is kinda dorky" she said.

Derek turned to her, "Ahh that's just rude. It's great" He smiled.

"I never said it wasn't great" She said smiling back and inching towards him.

"Where did you get it from?"

"What do you mean?" Derek asked.

"I mean, why did you started saying it?" She asked while moving even closer.

"Oh I-" She cut him off by pressing her lips against his.

He paused for a moment, taken aback by the surprising kissed. As soon as he realized what was happening he pushed her away.

"What- what are you doing?" She asked.

"I should ask you the same thing." He responded angrily. There were a few people in the OR who had noticed the kiss and were whispering amongst themselves.

"I was kissing you."

"Why?"

"Well, you are smart, charming, funny, handsome. Why would I not kiss you?"

"Because it is inappropriate, and I am in a relationship."

she rolled her eyes.

"Dr. Collier! I do not think we should work together in the future."

"Oh come on. I know your girlfriend. She is a disaster. Physically and emotionally."

"Meredith Grey is beautiful inside and out. And I think you should refrain from saying another word about her if you want to continue to work in this department."

She rolled her eyes and left.

Derek walked into the trailer and saw Meredith sitting on the bed reading a magazine.

"You were right." Derek said.

"I know." Meredith retorted.

"Renee was definitely flirting with me." He was trying to find a natural way to tell her that he had been kissed that wouldn't hurt her. He knew he had to tell her since it would be worse if she heard it work from someone else.

"What did she do to tip you off."

He looked down a little guiltily.

"Derek! What did she do?" Meredith asked a little worried and aggressively.

"She kissed me. In the scrub room."

Meredith boiled with rage. She bent down bellow the bed, grabbed a shoe and chucked it at his head.

"Ow! I didn't kiss her back!"

"You let her kiss you in the first place!" Meredith growled.

"It wasn't really a "let" situation. It was more of a, her randomly pressing her lips against mine with no warning situation."

Meredith grabbed another shoe and threw it at him.

"I warned you. I told you she was flirting with you this morning!" Meredith yelled.

"Meredith. I am sorry. What do you want me to do?"

"You promised you wouldn't cheat on me." She said sadly.

Derek got an idea. He headed to the bathroom, covered his arm with shaving cream and grabbed a razor. He walked out and handed Meredith the razor.

"You said if I ever cheated you would shave my head. Since I didn't actually cheat you don't get to shave my head, but since you were right and I didn't listen and got kissed, you get to shave my arm."

Meredith smiled at him and laughed.

"A leg too?"

"Meredith." Derek pleaded.

"Fine, an arm will do. But if anyone asks you why you have a weird hairless arm, you have to explain that it's because you refused to listen to your beautiful brilliant girlfriend. But don't mention the bitch kissing you."

"That sounds fair" He said leaning down to kiss her.

"You are too good at this." Meredith said a little annoyed.

"Too good at what?"

"Getting me to not be mad at you anymore."

Derek chuckled a bit. "It's a skill that I think will be very necessary."

"Probably. You are a dumbass quite often."

"Yea."

I have so much to do tomorrow it's making me sad. So there is a good chance that I will not post tomorrow, but I did two today so I think its okay. Also thank you for 1000 reads. Also, just a fun fact about writing this. It was really hard to write the shaving part without it being super weird. I tried to make it cute and I think I was successful, but there were so many lines that I wrote and had to delete because they came off as super creepy.
