Part 9

"Meredith you don't need to do anything for me. I have more money than I knew what to do with. And making you happy is reward enough."

"That's disgusting."

"Disgusting!?"

"You. You and your piles of money, good looks, super brain surgeon, charming, 'making you happy is reward enough.' It's disgusting."

Derek laughed. "So you have to live with me and my disgustingness and I buy us a fancy apartment."

Meredith leaned in to kiss him. "Seems fair."

"I am moving in with McDreamy." Meredith said nervously to Cristina. "He wants our hair to get grey and make me push small people out of my vagina.

"Ew gross" Cristina responed.

"He is building me a house, and he is buying me an apartment. He is not letting me pay for it. And when I said I wanted to, he said that 'making me happy is reward enough'" 

"That's disgusting."

"That's what I said."

"So are you going to do it? The whole move in, and sire his children thing?"

"I don't know. I think I might want to."

"Ew."

"Right!"

"Weren't you going to do the move in and sire his children thing with Alex?"

"I don't know, I never really thought too much about it." Just as she said that she saw Alex walk out of his office.

"Hey Alex!!" Meredith shouted.

"You are calling whore-boy over here? You are on speaking terms with the skank-oid?"

"Trying to be."

"Why?"

Alex walked over to the two women.

"What do you want?"

"I have a quick question. Before I found out about the whole adulterous whore thing, were we planning on having children?"

"Umm. I think eventually. Why? Is McDreary trying to get you pregnant?"

"Not yet." Cristina scoffed.

"Anyways I have to go." Alex started to walk away, then he paused and turned to Meredith, "Hey Mer, I um, am really sorry. I have been a douche. I am glad you are getting what you want from Mcdreary. And I am happy that we can talk."

"Me too. Also it's now McDreamy."

"I can be happy you are with him, but there is no way I am calling that dude McDreamy."

Meredith laughed and Alex walked away.

"Were you just laughing? With Karev?" Derek said as he was walking towards them.

"I was." 

"So the punching and bitch calling phase of your break up is over."

"Seems to be. I will miss the punching."

"Me too"

"So you can be friends with Alex and not me" April asked.

"What?"

"Alex said you were hanging out today."

"Okay.."

"But you told me that we would never be friends."

"And?"

"So how can you be friends with him and not me."

"Look April. I hit Alex twice until he was sprawling on the ground. You let me beat you up twice and we can be friends again."

"Fine."

"Fine?"

"You can beat me up."

"Twice?"

"Twice."

"Okay we can be friends."

"We can!?"

"Yes."

"Why?"

"What?"

"Meredith. Why all the sudden are you so willing to be friends with us again?"

"I think it's because I am happy. There is a man, who is building me a house and asking me to grow old with him. And he is perfect. And even though what you did was absolute shit. That man would not be building me a house if you didn't."

"Oh that's wonderful Meredith. I knew you and Alex weren't right."

"Pushing it April."

"Sorry."

"And April."

"Yea?"

"You sleep with Derek and I will cut you." April started to laugh then saw the sincerity in Meredith's eyes.

"You aren't actually going to cut-"

"Let's not find out."

"Sure! It's just that-"

"April! Just don't fuck him."

"I won't its just-"

Meredith rolled her eyes and walked away.

(Hey people. I don't actually have anything to say I just want the word count to get to 1000 so I am going to ramble a bit. I should probably rewatch the what-if episode cause I feel like I am missing storylines. I totally forgot that Addison was pregnant until this post so I added a bit about it. Also I should probably add something about Mark and Lexie. Did Lexie die at the end? Anyways. I will try and post the next part tonight, but right now I need to nap.)
