Josiah's Pov: We were in town getting something to eat and had just finished when two young ladies carrying the luggage and medical bags walked in. We all looked with interest at the pair standing at the front desk of the hotel. Both girls were blonde with slender figures. One was a little shorter than the other, her long hair fell neatly and was sort of pulled back only on the sides. She wore a Pink waist shirt with a brown skirt and jacket. She caught me looking at her, She had a beautiful face and frosty blue eyes. She looked like the type of girl who was sweet and kind with a little sarcasm woven in. I felt my heart beat faster, We realized we were staring at each other and blushed looking away. I did however sneak one more glance, just as she and the other lady were walking up the stairs. My heart was still pounding, after they had walked away. I knew the diagnosis of what this was. I was in love with this girl and I didn't know her name. I would have to find a way to fix that. We payed the ticket and headed out to our horses, We were almost there, when a young man recognized Billy. We stopped, prepared to help Billy. Billy and the man shot each other. Billy's shoulder was injured, I knelt beside the other gunslinger to check for a pulse but there was none. Then suddenly, The Lady doctor from the hotel was there. She could see that the gunslinger was dead and tended to Billy instead. She tended to his arm and turned to leave. Just as she did so, Billy called out to her, asking her name. "Belinda Simpson, Doctor Simpson." She replied, her voice was soft and pleasant. "A pleasure Doctor, My name is billy, this Chavez, Richard, Steve,Charley, and Doc Scurlock is behind you." Billy introduced, By then I was standing up. She turned to me after shaking the rest's hands. We held each other's gaze for a moment longer, I smiled softly at her. To my delight, She smiled back. Our gaze broke and she told us all good-bye. I realized she that she too was a doctor. I followed her. "Did you saw a doctor simpson?" I asked unintentionally startling her. "Yes?" "I figured you were one of the new doctors at the Lincoln county hospital. I look forward to working with you. " I said putting my hand out for her to take. She did take it and I kissed her hand. She blushed slightly. "So do I, Doctor Scurlock." We shared a smile and then parted ways. I went to bed that night still thinking about her. Each day after, I built up the courage to ask her out. Every time I tried to talk about her, I couldn't. I'd get tongue tied, but I knew I was able to say one thing without blushing... sort of. I was going to marry her, It would take time for us to get to that point. But I definitely knew she was the one.
My Pov: Days after I met The Regulators, Angelica and I had been working with the hospital for a while now and I saw Doctor Scurlock there alot. He was an amazing doctor and We had become friends quickly. Billy was in and out of the hospital like a yoyo. Which, I didn't mind really, he was nice and my friend. I still caught Doctor Scurlock looking at me from time to time. I felt my heart beat quicker when I saw him. He had a way about him that I really liked, He wasn't just handsome, smart, sweet, and sensitive. He was all of those things and more. One of the times Billy was in the hospital, he told me that Doc was a poet. I was fascinated, I love poetry and would read as much of it as I could find. Billy showed me a poem Doc had written. It was beautiful and I loved it. I was coming to realize that, I had feelings for him. I...I loved him, I had never experienced this type of love before. Yet I knew, I love him with all my heart and with each passing day the affection grew. I wanted to tell him, But I was scared of rejection. I didn't want to jeopardize our relationship by telling him my feelings and him not feeling the same way. I would just have to wait and pray for the courage to tell him.
No one's pov: Weeks turned into months, and Neither of them were any closer to telling each other. Then, One day a stranger arrived in town, An even more dangerous stranger....
