The first day working for the BAU can't be that bad, right? I've been chasing this job for a few years now and I finally got it. Everything will be fine. Everything will go great. Right?

Today I woke up super early, took a quick shower, dry and straighten my hair like always, put a little make up on - not something too much, just a simple natural morning look - and got dressed. I had picked my outfit last night because I was too stress to leave it up to this morning but now that I'm wearing it, I don't really know if it looks like I imagined. It was just a pair of black pants, a burgundy top and a black blazer on top. Maybe it looks too simply, they'll probably think that I'm boring. But I know what upgrades every look you pair it with. Blackhighheels.
Enough mirror time for today, I should be going. I just moved to Virginia from Miami so I don't really know how the traffic is here. My whole transfer from the Miami field office to Quantico was a last-minute decision despite the fact that I had put the request in about 9 months ago. The truth is that I was trying to get in the BAU for a few years now, I took every seminar, I read every text book recommended by them and when there was finally an opening, I was the one who got it.
I arrived at the office 10 minutes before 9 o'clock that was the time of my meeting but I was told to go wait in the unit chief's office and that he should be there already. I walked in the elevator with another woman. She was blonde and very colorful. "Good morning" she says cheerfully "Good morning" I respond smiling "What floor?" she asks "6" I say "Oh are you the new one?" she asks "I guess so" I say "Oh my God, welcome. My name is Penelope, I'm the technical analyst of the BAU" she says as we shake hands "Victoria Cassidy. Or just Tory. It's nice to meet you" I say "It's so nice to meet you too. Are you nice? You seem nice. Why is this always the first thing I ask?" she says and I chuckle "I will leave that up to you to decide" I say as the elevator stops. "Ok. I'll probably see you later" she says "See you" I say as we go to different directions.
I find easily Agent Hotchner's office and I walk past the empty bullpen. I take a breath and I knock on the door. "Come in" I hear and I walk in. Wow, is this really my boss? "Good morning. You must be Dr Victoria Cassidy" he says as he stands up. Oh my God, even his voice is sexy. What? No, brain stop it! "Yes, good morning. And just Tory is fine. I'm sorry I was a little early" I say as we shake hands "That's alright. I'm SSA Aaron Hotchner, I'm the BAU unit chief. Have a seat please" he says and we both sit down "After looking at your file and past experience at the Miami's field office, I was impressed. It was really hard not to pick you" he says "Thank you sir but I was just doing my job" I say "Well, I saw many seminars and extra hours on phycology and behavior just for the Sex Crime Unit?" he says "It was something I enjoyed. I didn't see it as extra work" I say "I'm glad to hear that. We are lucky to have you and I am happy that I get to work with you" he says "Thank you sir. I am excited to work for the BAU too. The truth is that I've been looking forward to this for a couple of years now and it finally happened. I mean I've changed units before I settled in Sex Crime but I haven't felt as anxious as I was feeling this morning" I say "I can tell" he says with a soft smile and I chuckle "Right" I say remembering that I have a profiler across from me. "You don't have to be anxious as long as you're doing your job. During briefing you can always bring your ideas on the table so we can discuss about it and I'm here for whatever you need in the process" he says "Ok" I answer.
His phone rings and he takes a look at the message. "Did you bring a go bag like I asked you at the email?" he asks "Yes, it's in my car" I answer "Good because we just got a case. The team should already be in the conference room" he says looking at his watch "Are you ready?" he asks "Always" I say "Let's go then" he says and we stand up. "This way" he says opening the door for me and showing me the way "Thank you" I say as I walk out of the office.
"Good morning. This is Dr Victoria Cassidy, the newest member of the BAU. These are SSAs David Rossi, Emily Prentiss, Jennifer Jareau, Derek Morgan, Dr Spencer Reid and our technical analyst Penelope Garcia" Agent Hotchner says as we walk in the conference room "It's nice to meet you all" I say as we shake hands "She is very nice guys" Penelope says "The number of pathogens passed during a handshake is staggering. It's actually safer to kiss" Dr Reid says "Very accurate Dr Reid" I say and he smiles.
"Let's get started" Agent Hotchner says and we sit down. "Get ready old and new crime fighters, you are going to Kansas City" Penelope says as we get the files "Two women have been found dead in different places of the town over the last two weeks. Every victim was reported missing on a Friday, killed on Sunday night and was found Monday morning" she says "Someone is feeling lonely on weekends?" Agent Morgan asks "You would know how that feels, wouldn't you?" Agent Prentiss says to him and I try to swallow my chuckle. "The first victim was 18, the second hasn't been IDed yet but she seems to be about 20" she says "He sure has an age preference. Could these girls be surrogates?" I ask "There is a good chance. Wheels up in 30" Agent Hotchner says and gets up.
As soon as Hotch left the room I hear "Cas, Cas, Cassidy, how are you?" Morgan says "Good. It's been a while" I say as we hug "You know each other?" Agent Prentiss asks "He had worked in the Miami field for a couple of months some years back" I answer "It was summer, I knew I didn't have much time off so I decided to combine work with some good time" he says "And I think you can imagine now where my desire for the BAU came from" I say "Huh... So... You two..." she says "Oh no, no. We didn't..." I say "Aha..." she says nodding her head but not really convinced. "Anyway, welcome to the team" she says and walks away "She's not gonna forget that, will she?" I ask Morgan "Probably not" he says and I nod. "Let's go. I'm buying coffee on the way to the airport" he says "You had me at coffee" I say and I follow him "Maybe we'll do some catching up too" he suggests as we walk in the elevator "Nice try" I say with a chuckle "Well, I had to" he says smiling "It's just that we work together now" I say "Technically we were working together in Miami too" he says "Yeah, we did but... Now it's more permanent" I say "Oh wow, so you were planning on using me and then sending me off" he says acting hurt and causing me to laugh "Oh I'm so sorry" I say playing along. "By the way, can we keep that past to us?" I ask "Sure. But I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little disappointed that I can't say that I have slept with the new hot Agent" he says "Stop it" I say as I try to hide my blushing cheeks and he chuckles. "And it's Doctor now" I say as we walk out of the elevator "Sorry. I don't remember you working on a PhD three years ago" he says "That's because I wasn't. I started working on it the following year so it's pretty recent" I say "Well congratulations and welcome to the team Doctor" he says and opens the door for me.
