If you thought you got out from the hellhole called 'High School' you're definitely mistaken. You placed yourself to a brand new definition of hell, University. Where you disgusted every second that passes through it. The professors were ignorant, and you don't know anybody to begin with.

Starting with the first semester, you're not longing to be with anyone, well not romance particularly. You're always okay with yourself and being one with silence. Your daily routine rotates around your dorm, classroom, lectures of the professors, researching at the library and going back to your peaceful yet chaotic dorm.

Reading a book of blank drafting is keeping you busy. You loved the spot where you're reading, quiet yet not intimidating. Just perfect. I guess being in an architectural course is not a bad idea at all, you have no thoughts of wanting to get to this curriculum, you're parents want you to be an architect. Although you're pretty good at drawing, not realistic and 3d stuffs, but you have the skill to do so. Drifting off to the singing silence, you started to pack things up since it's getting late. You returned the book from where it was placed and slowly sighed.

"When will I get sick of this shitty situation..? I mean, I can't be alone forever, atleast I need a... friend?"

Getting eaten up by the lonely feeling, all you can do is talk to yourself, since it's the only thing you've got. Being a Freshman is hard, but being alone is harder. You need someone to talk to, to bear problems with, to rant, to laugh, and to always got your back. How nice would that be, if you're lucky enough.

You're roommate, Annie, has barely anything to say. She's the type of chick you don't wanna mess around, or has no communicating skills at all. Her curtains that indicates the boundaries of your bed were always up, not wanting to talk to you at all. So you wouldn't say you're close to her. You wanted to get to know her more, but she kept pushing you, but in a way that will not hurt but obvious. It's like she's telling you to take a hint yourself.

Before the start of the new semester, you found out that you're roommate is going to be replaced. Well, it doesn't matter to you, but what bothers you is; What if the new roommate is messy, unorganized and doesn't know how to clean or cook? Luckily, Annie knows her shit, she knows all the chores and even knows how to cook for her own. But on the bright side, you thought this might be the chance to make your first friend in university, atleast.

A fine Friday came and this is the time where you're roommate is going to arrive. To give the person a warm hospitality, you cleaned the whole room, changed the sheets of her soon-to-be bed, wiped the closets and drawers clean. It was nice of you to do that to a stranger you've never met, but atleast to show some kind gesture. After organizing some stuffs, you dove in to your bed and read some of your pocketbook collections, to relieve the quietness and stop your thoughts from overthinking.

A knock sounded from the door as it slowly opened, you can feel your heart thumped as you tend to ignore the door opening.

"Hey"

You side-eyed the person who's standing at the door, it was a girl obviously, men and women's dorms are separated. She was cute, I mean she got the daring charms that will make men fall for her.

"Oh, Hi. Welcome, you must be my new roommate?"
"Yes! I'm Historia Reiss by the way"

She wasn't that tall, you scanned her. You introduced yourself and explained the old rules you've made, well atleast Annie agreed to it. She understands the regulations and continues to put her belongings to the drawers and her clothes to the closet. As a kind human being you are, of course you helped the petite woman.

Evening falls and you're still reading from one of your collections. You have nothing much to do since you've always finish your works before weekends, those 2 days of being school-free is one of your considered day-offs.

"Um hey, want something to eat?" Historia frantically asked.

"You don't need to be scared around me, haha. But yeah sure, I am hungry. Wanna drop off by a convenience store and buy some pasta ingredients?"

"Down for it, sister"

Both of you got dressed casually, with some sweatpants paired with flipflops. You have nothing to impress anyways so it's basically okay. Historia pretty much did all of the first moves, and it's making you guilty and feeling like a scum. You told her that you didn't became friends with your old roommate and that you're okay with being alone. But what she said left you in awe and released you from the awkwardness feeling.

"If you're feeling lonely, then I'll join you. Let's get lonely together"

"Silly, you can't be lonely if there's someone there with you"

"Get the joke dumbass"

You two laughed as you got your way to the convenience store. Bought everything you guys needed and left to go back to the dorms.

Surprisingly, Historia knows how to cook. She's a complete wife-me-up package. You thanked your lucky stars you're new roommate is not a jackass, plus you and Historia got close in less than a day.

"I heard there's going to be a freshmen party tomorrow, Saturday." Historia shared

"No way, you party?" You sarcasted.

"What do you think I am? A mom's friend? No babes, I'm a gorgeous human with feelings. I wanna have fun too you know?"

You laughed at her confidence, who would've thought that this small woman in front of you was a party freak in high school. You're sure parties aren't your thing, since no one invited you anyways.

"how 'bout you sis? Haven't you partied at least once in your cute little life?"

"No His, it's not in my vocabulary"

"Traumatic..."

"How- how is that traumatic" You chuckled

"You haven't partied even once??"

"Uh.. birthday parties?"

"Funny babes, ha.ha"

"I'm serious, I mean, no one invited me anyways"

"We're going, whether you like it or not"

Before you could even complain, she shoved a whole spaghetti in your mouth. She was a pushover, but you didn't mind it. It seems like Historia is the one to help you get out of your shell. How fortunate you've gotten.

She was your new hope,
A new chapter of your life has begun
