THE HATE YOU GIVE

Honestly, I loved this book so much. It's recommended for ages fourteen and up. 

"If officer Cruise were sitting here," Mrs. Cary says, "what would you say to him?"

"So I throw one last blow, right at One-Fifteen. 'I'd ask him if he wish he shot me too.'"

^This is my favorite line in the book. I think it shows what she felt in that moment after Officer Cruise shot Khalil, but continued to hold to get on Star.

It's a really good book. Easily one of the best that I've read. And I'd recommend for you to read this book, it's a good portray of life.

Also, what I find interesting was that one of Starr's friends was racist. As she had tried to reason that Khalil had gotten himself shot and that the brush looked like a gun in his hands.

But, yeah, I really did enjoy the book and if I didn't have thirty+ books to read, I'd re-read it right now.

Honestly, the first time I've done something like this, so, the set up will be changed later on. But, yeah, here the first book recommendation.
