Xiao Zhan grew up disabled. Due to an accident he lost his left leg. Not the whole leg though, just below his knees. It had to be removed to avoid more complications. And being poor he couldn't afford a prosthetic leg to help him walk. He only has the cane his bestfriend bought for him and an underarm crutch the hospital kindly offered to him.

Xiao Zhan was born an orphan and was adopted by an old couple but after 6 years the couple left him as well, leaving him with whatever riches they have which isn't much. He was just glad he had a roof under his head and a nice warm bed to sleep on as well as enough food considering he had a huge garden in the backyard but still money is his biggest problem.

With only little earnings from selling the vegetables and fruits he grows he could only afford cheap food and cheap medicines that isn't much help when he's feeling pain on his leg or sick. His friend, Zhao Lei also wanted to help him but Xiao Zhan wasn't one to take things especially if he knew he cannot pay them back for it.

So instead he asked to have a work in Zhao Lei's small cafe. Being the kind and understanding friend Zhao Lei was, he agreed since Xiao Zhan was a great cook. He was given the task of chef even though Zhao Lei already had one. And Xiao Zhan doesn't have to move much since the other chef who's a kind lady in her 40's volunteered to help him.

And so life was great even for Xiao Zhan who's poor. He earned enough to keep himself and his friend little apple alive and well. He only wished he could earn more to buy something more useful than crutches. He longed to move around more, run with little apple and jump around. Sadly that'll never happen. Not in this life.

Wang Yibo was known as a cold hearted prince. He was the heir of the Wang Empire. The top leading company in China and had many branches all over the world. He was arrogant, cold and doesn't care about women and mostly prefers men. He also voiced this out to his Father who didn't mind as long as he performs his duties well.

Due to being a rich brat Wang Yibo is, he had made enemies with his Father's enemies as well. They would send assassins to kill him or girl to seduce him yet he escaped every single trap and move they made.

This angered the enemies and one night Wang Yibo met with an accident. A planned one at that. He fell off a small cliff after the collision as his favorite sports car got thrown somewhere else before exploding due to the hidden bomb that was placed inside.

The last Wang Yibo remembered was the sound of the pitter patter of rain and a neighing sounds from a far.
