CHAPTER ONE: Saved By The Spider

Morgan's POV

I always go to the roof of the high school when I'm having a bad day. This day in particular was going terrible, so I climbed up the ladder from the basement and sat on the edge of the roof with my feet dangling over the edge. After fifteen minutes or so I stand up. I then suddenly lose my balance and fall. I let out a bloodcurdling scream. The next thing I know I'm in the arms of Spiderman. "It's okay, I've got you." He says. His voice sounds kind of familiar. Like the boy in my Social Studies class. What was the boy's name again? Peter....Parker? Spiderman helps me stand. "Thanks." I say, feeling faint. "No prob. It's what I do." He says. My feeling of faintness then takes over me and I knock out. 

Peter's POV

The girl faints in my arms. It's Morgan Howell, from my Social Studies class. She's really beautiful. All of the kids from school stare in amazement at the scene that had just happened. I take her into the school and when no one's watching I press a button on my suit and I'm standing in my usual T-shirt and jeans. I hurry over to the nurses office and I lay Morgan down in a chair. "Oh, my! What happened!" The old nurse asks. "She fainted." I say, trying to sound casual. "Well leave her here and I'll notify the front office and have them call her parents."  The old nurse said. "You stay here in case she wakes up." She adds, before walking out the door. A minute after the nurse leaves, Morgan wakes up. "Am I dead?" She asks, confused. "No. You're in the nurse's office. You fainted." I say.  She looks at me suspiciously. "You. You're Spiderman. You saved me." She says, sitting up in her chair. "I don't know what you're talking about. You're clearly tired." I say, trying not to let my secret slip. "No. I recognized your voice." Morgan protests. Then the nurse comes back with a man by her side. "Morgan. Home. Now." The man (who is clearly Morgan's father.) says sternly. Morgan's expression had a hint of horror then she said: "Okay, Dad."  I wonder why she seemed so scared? Was her Dad abusive or something? A lot of worried thoughts swimmed in my head. On her way out she looked at me and mouthed "Thank you."
