Once upon a time, there was a village of darkness. It was ruled by a demon (duh) named Eish. Hunters had killed most of his children, so Eish needed a new flock. He leapt out of bed and transfigured his robes into those of an old beggar woman. That very night, he strode into a nearby village, obviously new, for who would set up shop so near to the dark village? Eish began to snatch up the towns children. The people had heard stories of The Snatchers, darklings who stole children in the dead of night, from traveling raconteurs, but paid no mind. One small girl saw Eish coming and hid. After he left her house, she grabbed her father's sheep shears and followed Eish, marking her trail by cutting the trunks of trees. After a while the reached the village. She hissed a warning to stay silent an cut open the bag the children were in. They escaped and ran home to their parents. Following the child's marks, they found the village and lynched Eish. For who would kidnap hunter's children?
