Could we Be Friends

Hospitalized

I stood there staring at him not knowing what to do Jana looked so helpless he yelled and said that he didn’t want to hurt me he just wanted to talk I told him to let Jana go but he just stood there he told me if I made one wrong move he would shot her with the silver pistol he held behind her back.

I yelled and told him to drop the gun but he just yelled Jana cried a little I told Jana everything was going to be alright. My phone was in my pocket so I pushed buttons to try to call and hope someone would hear my father yelled at me and told me to take my hands out of my pockets so I did after feeling for the call button.

“Dad, haven’t you hurt me enough?” he looked at me with a look I will never forget. “Me hurting you, you were the one who left me you where the one who hurt me.” “No dad you hurt yourself for hurting James. When you killed James you hurt yourself you.”  He looked at me and told me to shut up.

I kept saying you hurt yourself and he kept saying shut up or I will shoot you. I yelled at him one last time before he pulled the trigger on me.

I could feel time pass before my eyes I saw the moment when my dad killed my brother I saw when I just started to walk and my mom was so excited. The time when my mom took me on a road trip before my brother was born, before she met IT.  And before my real father died my dad used to video tape me when I was eating, when I said my first words, when I said daddy for the first time.

I could feel the bullet hit me  I could feel it travel through my skin ripping everything in the way I could feel it run right through my lungs then it stopped. The pain was so bad I passed out.

Jana was sitting next to me crying when I woke up I could feel the pain still there but I wasn’t in the middle of the woods anymore I was in a white room with two chairs and it was hard for me to breath I could feel a tube in my mouth going down my esophagus in to my lungs. I coughed and my mom was there she ran over to me and called the doctor in I read his name tag and it said Dr. Sigma. He pulled the tube out and asked me if my breathing was good I shook my head and asked him what happened he told me “your father shot you it went in through your chest and hit your lungs you were in a coma for three weeks.”    I looked at Jana and Smiled “thank you for saving my life and stop crying I’m all right”

She Smiled back and my mom said “she’s been here since they brought you in.” the doctor butted in and added “your very lucky she was there. You probably wouldn’t have made it if she hadn’t been. “
