"Is that the last box?" I ask Skylar as we finish loading up all my stuff into her car to take over to Brad's. I haven't seen Brad since he asked me to move in with him again because Sky and I promised each other we'd have a whole week with each other before I have to move.
"I think so." She sighs. "Girl, I'm gonna miss you."
"Me too but I'll only be a few minutes away," I say before my phone starts ringing. "Hi," I answer the phone happily.
"Hey, baby." I can hear the smile in Brad's voice. "What time you coming over?"
"We're just about to leave. Is that okay?"
"Of course! I'll see you soon. I love you."
"I love you," I say back before hanging up the phone. "Should we go?"
"Yeah," Sky nods and we head downstairs to the car. "Charlie, I really think you should talk to your dad about Brad."
"I have but it's just so hard. I just wish he'd want to talk to me and hear me out. I mean I get why he's upset with Brad but why can't he understand how I feel?"
