It was late at night, around 11 pm, and Harper was out doing his usual business. The so-called business was of course killing who he was paid to kill. This specific target was a woman named Becky. Her ex-husband wanted her dead, most likely for something that wasn’t her fault, or even something she didn’t have a say in, but that’s just the way it works. The bad people want the good people dead. The bad people don’t think they’re the bad ones though, they think they make the world better by doing what they know to be right. They, most of the time are complete, entitled, jerks.
It was his job though, and it paid well. He got to the woman’s house, picked the lock, and went around checking every room. At the second level of the house, he found her asleep in her bed. She looked like a nice lady. Next to her bed there was a picture of her, a kid, and her ex-husband, but no time to feel sorry now. With a silencer on his gun, he shot her in the head. Of course, he knew how to get rid of the evidence, so he picked her up in her sheets and put her in the back seat of his car. He brings extra sheets to replace when he leaves.
He drives back to the man that gave him this specific job. For some reason he wanted the body, Harper always does what’s asked of him and never thinks twice. It’s better that way.
