Chapter One - Pilot

Someone had been sending her signals, they were like flashbacks only they weren't actual memories of hers. Sometimes they were random patisseries, locations, numbers, words, even crosswords and puzzles, all sorts of 'flashes' that were out of the blue.

Rosella has had a particularly ordinary life, as an ordinary girl in a ordinary world with a passion for art.

Those flashes started appearing when she was 10, and being the curious person she is, every time they appeared, she would draw the flashes down and note down the time. Soon, she realised that the flashes would occur every week, at a specific time on a specific day - 10:10am, Thursday. Hence, every thursday at ten past ten, she would be sitting down with her sketchbook open right in front of her, ready to draw whatever that appeared in the 5-second flash.

Rosella has tried to explain the flashes to her family and close friends for years, but all they did was tell her that she was going crazy and perhaps she should see a therapist to consult her 'mental illness'. Of course, she was mad at them for not believing her, but she understood. These flashes aren't normal, she thought, though she knew that these flashes weren't just concidences or her imagination. She believed that they were signals from someone, maybe her soulmate or someone that is significant to her in the future. She doesn't know that yet, but I do. And I can tell you, this person will absolutely change her life.

Back to the story, Rosella had a plan. She saved up all her allowances, did some babysitting (she's amazing with kids) and earned some cash. Most importantly, she saved up her sketchbooks in a large metallic-bordered wooden trunk in her bedroom, and prepared for the day to come - the day when she was finally be old enough to set off on a journey of her own to find the truth about the 'signals' that she had been getting.
