Shipping with living people

Hi! I'm here to talk about stuff that I think we should already know!

I don't want to upset people who ship real people but, unless they are actually dating or if they are okay with that particular ship, then we should not be shipping them. I get it if you see chemistry between them or something but they're not fictional characters with no feelings. It's not right because it might make them uncomfortable. I mean, I'm using an example here, Gabsmolders x Jacksepticeye is a ship that we can use because they're dating. Theodd1sout x TheAMaazing is a ship we can use because both of them said it was okay (last time I checked, don't scream at me about this).

Other ships, that I'm not going to state because I don't want to call people out, should not be used because it might make them uncomfortable or worse. I feel like, if we like these people and care about their feelings then we should watch what we do and say about these things. This includes assuming sexualities and genders, complaining about breaks, etcetera. I'm not doing this to make people feel bad, I'm doing this because I truly care about the people that might be hurt by what we say!

Im not saying that shipping fictional characters is bad because I don't care about what you do with that. (as long as its not disrespectful to their sexualities [unless the creators say otherwise], incest or just creepy in general) I'm talking about people like actors, Streamers, YouTubers, musicians, artists and just people in general. Please don't brush this off. If you really care about these people then you'll stop. Not for my sake but for theirs. Thank you to the people who listened :)
