Every story has it's origin, it's beginning, it's background. This is mine.
I heard the beeping sound of my alarm clock as I rolled over to shut it up, for at least five more minutes. I didn't want this day to start yet. It was going to be different, hopefully at least, by the end of it. It everything went how I've been fantasizing in my head since the moment I laid eyes on her. It was the day I moved in with everyone. I was broke, going into college, stuck in the city, no place to go, at least I wasn't wanted anywhere. This is how my story begins.
I sat on my couch, contemplating my life decisions. I had to be out of this trashy apartment in 24 hours. All my belongings fit in one cardboard box, I didn't have much to bring with me, and not much to leave with. That's when I heard my phone start buzzing, the name "Asteria" flashed on the screen. Could this be my saving grace? I clicked the green accept button. "Hey Asteria." I said, trying to sound as upbeat as possible, I didn't want to worry her. "Elverie, I have a question for you." She says, her smile lighting up her entire face. What could this be? Asteria is one of the most unpredictable friends I've ever had, but that's what I love about her. "What's going on?" I queried, wanting her to get to the point as soon as possible. You can't blame me, I had to find somewhere to go, and this seems like such a waste of time. "I found three girls to move into a house with me, and we need a fourth," Asteria started," I was wondering if you would want to be our fourth. The house has five bedrooms, a huge backyard, great neighborhood, please consider it." This really is my saving grace. I have a place to be. "Um, sure." I responded. Why did I say it like that? I want her to know I'm excited about this amazing opportunity. "When can we move in?" I questioned her. Hopefully by tomorrow. "Me and Lyon are arriving tomorrow, Ethereal is coming in two days, and Adalynn hasn't disclosed when she's arriving yet. So sorry for the short notice Elverie." Asteria blurted, looking flushed. Perfect timing, some things just happen at the right time, I suppose. This seems like a good decision. "I can be there by tomorrow." I inform her, trying to hide how thankful and excited I am. She nods, and we say our goodbyes. It's time for my new beginning, my fresh start.
