"Haha, very funny. Cut the crap, kid." Tony landed in front of Spider-Man, his suit glowing faintly in the city lights.
"Yeah-" an arrow whizzed towards Spider-Man and he caught it, never taking his eyes off Tony- "no. Like I said, I got things to do."
A faint "How did I miss?" was heard from a roof and Peter chuckled.
"There's always a first time."
Nat, who had been watching the fight from the roof, stepped out and stood behind the spider. "привет молодой паук."
"Hi Miss Widow."
Natasha began speaking in Russian to him. (Russian will be in italics) "I want to help you."
"Really?"
Nat nodded. "I think you've got your head on straighter than half of my team, so."
Spider-Man chuckled slightly. "Sure."
Tony had been watching the exchange with confusion, and saw a perfect time to strike. He charged up his repulsor and aimed it at the hero.
It hit him in the stomach, sending him skidding across the ground, panting.
"It wasn't supposed to be on that high." Tony's eyes widened as he realised what happened. "No no no, FRIDAY why didn't you say anything?"
"I didn't know that you wanted it lowered sir."
"Shoot. Hey, buddy, look, I'm sorry, I didn't mean for it to be that-"
"Don't stress." The hero picked himself off the floor. "It's not like you care anyway."
Nat watched as spiderman swung away before whirling around to Ironman.
"What were you thinking?"
"I thought it was on a lower setting!"
"That doesn't make it any better!" Nat face was red. "He's a kid," she hissed.
"How do you know?"
"Uh, he said it was a school night and that he had homework. Also, the size of him and his voice? He just a kid! And you shot him!"
Tony buried his face in his hands. "I'm an idiot."
Nat instantly softened slightly. "It's ok. I'll see if I can talk to him, ok?"
Tony nodded. "I don't want to bring him in anymore."
"'Fraid you don't have a choice."
"Fury?"
Nick rolled an eye. "Yes, me. You will continue your plan, or else you'll have me to hear to. And you wouldn't want anything happening to you family, would you?"
Everyone nodded.
"Good. I expect him next week."
May was in the kitchen, quietly humming to herself when her nephew came stumbling into the room.
"Ironman... repulsor... shot... stomach... burn."
"Oh my gosh let me see." She lifted up his shirt and but back a gasp. The burn spiralled across his torso, raw, red and blistering. "Oh baby, let me run the bath, the I need you to sit directly under the tap, ok? Stay there for half an hour and then I'll put some aloe vera gel on." She led him gently to the bathroom and turned on the cold water. "Hope you like it cold."
She exited the room to let her nephew get changed and Peter slipped into the water. He hissed at the cold before gingerly placing his foot in, teeth chattering as he submerged himself and positioned his tummy under the running tap. The cold water instantly cooled it, making him sigh softly.
Meanwhile, May was fuming in the kitchen as she grabbed towels and food for her nephew. How could someone do this to a child? She pulled the gel out of the cupboard and slammed it on the bench before scolding herself for the noise.
Peter came out after a while, wincing as he hobbled onto the couch. His aunt was instantly next to him and began to apply the cool gel.
"What happened?"
"The Avengers were still after me, and so I was sort of fighting them, and the Black Widow came and started talking to me and said that she wanted to help when Ironman shot a repulsor and then started apologizing cause it wasn't supposed to be on that high, but why was it on that high in the first pla- ow."
"Sorry." May smiled apologetically for a second before frowning. "Why did someone ever decide that shooting a repulsor at someone would be a good idea?"
"I don't know, but j don't thinknill go out for a while."
"Sounds good. You need to recover, physically and mentally."
Peter nodded. "Can you get my Spanish homework for me please?"
May laughed, ruffling his hair as she went and got his homework.
Maybe Spider-Man did need a break.
