The splash of gasoline on the main floor of the home was music to my ears. I soaked it all, the wood, the carpet, the tables, the chairs, couches and stairs!! Set cans of compressed air in spots and had my kerosene soaked rope in my gloved hand.
The smell was intoxicating. I just stood there to take it all in as I saw the moon light in the open and soaked floral curtains hit the floor. 'If I do this just right. It will look just like an accident like always.'
I hid the gas can in the door to the garage then walked over to the stove, old fashioned gas just as I like, and turned it on.
Click click click FWOOSH!
I blew out the small flames and let the gas continue to flow. Then wrapped the thin string like rope in my hand around the metal and connected it to all of the small sticks I had poking up from the wood and carpet. Pulling my mask up over my mouth I directed it all the way to the door.
Standing there I thought about the chaos this would cause. "Everyone will see my artwork! They will say my name like I'm famous!! One final step and I can walk away Scott's free and move on to my next one haha!" I slowly shut the door most of the way.
A small pocket lighter slipped into my hand from my sleeve. It's cold and decorated metal bit into my skin as I gripped it. A small cloud of steam puffed around my face from my exposed nose. "This September was too cold, here, have a fire to warm you up."
I light the end of the string and the bright blue flames race along the string and I quickly shut the door. Removing my lock picking things I quickly slipped into the shadows. Racing down the street.
30 seconds later, as planned, there was a loud BOOM! and the sound of fire licking at wood. There were three beautifully different pitches of screams as the ones inside were trapped in my perfect fire remodel.
Flipping up my hood and slowing down I looked like any other early morning jogger as I kept an even pace of running away. More screams join the unending chorus as I put 'headphones' in.
As I reached the end of the deserted street and started jogging to my black motorbike. I had only made it half the way to my randevu point when I heard the spin chilling Whoop whoop!!
'Coppers!!? I hadn't planned for them to be here!!?' I continued to jog as I heard over a mega phone. "Ma'am. Please stop so we can ask you some questions!" Pretending I didn't hear them I continued to jog. "Ma'am stop running!"
I started to slow. Then darted down a narrow alleyway I had planned to use if I wanted to cut time getting back my hood falling and my blonde wig flowed behind me.
"Ma'am!!" The whooping sound got louder and closer until I heard the screech of tires echo around me. Slamming doors and thundering footsteps of two followed me. "Hey come back! Stop!!"
The echo of a firearm being unholstered rung and a BANG! wizzed by my head as I dove around the corner and sped around the next. I could hear them split up as I rounded another corner and was met by my black beauty. "Come on sweetness!!"
Jumping on quickly as my heart raced and I fumbled with the helmet.
"Hey!"
Looking up as I finally slipped the helmet on I was met face to face with a Copper. A black guy, skinny, and held a gun pointed at me. Before he could get a good look at my face I flicked the visor down and roared my bike to life. Then popped a wheelie right at him to scare him away.
He dove out of the way and I raced onto the street. For a few heart racing moments I kept checking behind me for Coppers. After ten full minutes I finally breathed easy and entered the highway, speeding away to my warehouse home.
Slowing down until my bike was at a purr I pulled in and shut her off. Taking the helmet off I pulled the itchy wig and shook my sun bleached strawberry brown hair still stuck up in bobby pins.
"Ugh itchy!" I scratched my head and tossed the helmet into a chair the noises echoing in the mostly empty space. "Whoo! That was a close call. Stupid Coppers!" Hopping over the back of my couch I grabbed the remote and turned on the TV.
"Hehe. Well, time for my spotlight!"
