Chapter 2 REWRITE

Again things go silent between you though it didnt hold the awkward atmosphere as before. "I don't know if this will make you feel better but here." Shuffling through his backpack he pulls out a badge handing it to you. Taking ahold of the badge you examine it. The badge was sky blue with a yellow outlining it. The patch had an image of a metal detector around the metal detector were the health pons but there was another pon around the metal detector that was green and had a diamond instead of a heart. You weren't a fan of patches but you took it anyway because of the thought that was put into it. "Thanks for the badge." You halfheartedly thanked.

"Your welcome." He responds. You go to put the badge in your pocket. "You know you should put that badge on your tie." He suggests before you could put the badge in your pocket. "Why?" You question him with a raised brow. "Well, you see that badge can detect for any nearby pons around you." He adds. Detect nearby pons? Now how would that even work it may have an image of a metal detector but it was just an image nothing more nothing less. "You sure this thing detects another pons I mean it just looks like any other badge. Are you trying to mess with me are something?" You eye him suspiciously.

"No, I assure you I'm not messing around. Here," He shuffles through his pocket. "Let me show you." He takes out a heart pon. "Can you put on the badge?" He asks. You put on the badge. A couple of seconds pass by. You go to take off the badge but before you could the stranger speaks. "Wait I promise it will work it just takes a few seconds." You stop your advances though you still were convinced that this thing wasn't gonna work. A couple of seconds pass by again. You go to take off the badge but then.

*BEEP*

A loud beeping noise was heard. You were surprised that it actually worked. "See just takes a few seconds." The person puts the heart pons away. You take off the badge before any more beeping noises could be heard. "You know I have more badges if you would like another one?" He offers to you. You think about it for a moment. The badge you have would be quite useful especially if you got hurt and needed to look for more of those heart pons but that was all it was useful for. You were also on an unknown island possibly from an unknown planet filled with criminals so maybe you could find something useful.

"Sure show me what you got." You accept the offer. He pulls out two badges laying them on the table. The two badges had a tag on them with info on what they do. The first badge stood out to you since there was a little propeller on it, the badge had an image of a stick figure with balloons tied to their waist. You read the tag

Hover Badge automatically causes you to float before you deadly impact.

This badge seemed pretty useful though you don't know if there will be another time you'll fall from a high place.

Next, you look at the other badge. The badge notably has some flies flying around it which made you slightly wince at. On the badge, there was a speech bubble with a @#△and a 🠓.

Mumble Badge plug your ears now you can only hear vague mumbling.

...well that's useless especially at such a ridiculous price(although it could be very useful to cancel out your parent's nagging). "So have you found something you would like?" He asks. "Yeah, I'll take the hover badge." You point at it. "Sure but first payment please." He extends his hand(?) out. Reaching into your pockets you pull out your wallet and hand him the money. He puts the money up to his face. You couldn't tell if he was confused because of that mask but with that head tilt, you could tell. "Dear, what is this?" He asks confused. "It's money of course." You respond nonchalantly. "...I'm sorry dear but I don't take this type of currency." He hands you back the money. "What! Well, what type of currency do you take then?" You question him. "We only take green pons." He responds. "What is a green pon exactly?" You ask wondering what it looked like. "It's this." He takes out a green pon with a diamond in it. 'Oh, that one.' So that's the pon you saw on your badge so not only can your badge detect free health kits but also money too. Nice. "How do I get those things do I have to like do a job, gamble or something?" You question him. "Oh no dear you shouldn't have to do those things afterall you have that badge I gave you it shouldn't be too hard to look for those things since it's scattered everywhere on this island." He explains.

"I see." You look down at your badge. "Well dear, you should go off now." He says. "Wait are you still gonna be here?" You question worriedly if someone were to take the badge before you or if you wouldn't be able to find him again. "Don't worry about that. I walk around mafia town a lot but there are certain areas I go to." He assures you "Um okay well see ya then- uh who are you exactly." You ask. "You may call me badge seller." He introduces himself. "Well, then badge seller I'll see you next time I guess." "See you soon too dear." You wave him goodbye off to look for some money. As you go to walk you realize something 'Wait! Maybe I should ask him for help he is a merchant so he must've been around the world to know some things.' You turn around "Hey badge seller can I as-." You pause to see that badge seller wasn't there. 'Damnit he left already and that fast too?' You were bumped he wasn't there. Though you were bumped out it gave you a new hope after seeing badge seller there have to be other people than the mafia that could help you out.

With that newfound realization and hope you went sprinting off to look for more of those pons but also to explore more of mafia town.

Hey guys sorry for the long awaited update but here it is. Honestly I don't really know what to say but I think I went through a writers worst nightmare so basically this version is a re re rewrite version basically I had another version of this that I was about to post but than my dumbass deadass cut the whole entire story even though I was trying to copy it.

Seriously though when I saw that blank doc I just felt my soul leave my body. I tried many times to undo the change but for some odd reason it didn't work even though it literally worked like moments ago. So yeah after that I just needed a break and some time to realize what I just done. But even though that happened I was able to make this version. I don't have anything else to say but I'm might try to update this book once a week. Also whats your guys opinion on me making another story because I do like writing this fic and I know another fic will take up my time more but I wanna try writing another one.
