Chapter 2 REWRITE

"What's got you down my child?" You hear an unexpected voice say. Snapping out of your thoughts you see a person in front of you. However, said person's appearance was strange. His appearance seemed like something you would see in a fantasy book or an rpg game, and with a hood and a mask to conceal their identity everything about him screamed out ominous. The one thing that caught you off the most was his twitching inspecting him closely; it seemed more like he was glitching. Was this guy even a human?

"Please disregard my twitchy behavior. My body has been to places that left a permanent mark." You were brought back from your thoughts as you heard the person speak. "Oh sorry it's just that...your appearance is something I've never seen before." Mentally you slapped yourself for how rude that sounded but I mean it was true though. The man chuckles, "I've heard that many times in my travels." You could only stare at him and awkwardly chuckle along with him unsure of what to do. The masked person's chuckle subsided afterward he spoke. "Sorry for intruding but I saw that you seemed ruffled up," Well they weren't wrong you did fall from space and somehow ended up with bruises instead of dying. "and I was wondering if you would like me to heal you?" The mention of heal causes your muscles to relax and your bruises to ache less. As much as your body was aching you couldn't bring yourself to trust this person not after what happened. "No thanks, I'm fine." You decline their offer.

The person stays silent, they just stare at you with their creepy mask. You were unnerved by the silence along with the person's stare. The person suddenly moves forward and the sudden movement makes you cautious about what they're about to do. All of a sudden they grab your wrist, taking a hold of your wrist they pull your coat and uniform sleeves up your arm causing your arm to be exposed. Before you could protest he speaks before you. "Ah, so you do have bruises." He says inspecting your bruise filled arm. Having enough of that you jerk your arm back. "Look I don't need your help I can take care of myself." You say looking and rubbing your wrist. You hear a sound like someone shuffling through something. You look back to see the person rummaging through their backpack. A couple of seconds they pull out a heart. The heart was encased in a plastic ball. The strange ball appeared to emit a red glow as well as a sparkle effect. You stare at what the person had in their hand with curiosity Once again the person grabs your wrist. "Hey! What are you... doing?" You trail off. The heart in the person's hand was steadily disappearing in your arm. Suddenly your arm was encased in a light red glow from there your entire body emitted the same light red glow. Seeing this you were about to panic until something catches your eye. Staring in awe at your arm you see that each of your bruises seemed to disappear. One by one each bruise that disappeared your body started to feel better. With one last bruise, your body stopped glowing until the arm where it started was the last one.

The person finally lets go of your wrist allowing you to move. You examine your arm it looked perfectly fine like nothing ever happened to it. "How did you do that?" You question the masked person. "How? I just used a pon of course." He answers. "A pon?" You say confused. "Yes, a pon why have you never heard of it?" He asks like your supposed to know what it is. "Um no." You respond. "Hmm, how strange well allow me to explain it to you. This," He takes out the heart thing from his pocket. "Is known as a pon specifically known as a heart pon." You stare at the pon "Oh I see now." You keep on staring at the heart until the person puts it away. "Now tell me," The person's voice catches your attention causing you to look up. "How did you get those bruises?" He questions. "About that let's just say I took quite a hefty fall." You answer him leaving out the fact you fell from space. "Oh dear, you should be more careful especially around here." He recommends it to you. "Yeah, I'll make sure to keep that in mind." You respond.

"..." "..." It goes silent between you two after you say that. Awkwardly you say. "I'll uh take my leave now." You get up from your seat. Before you could walk away the masked person says "Wait before you leave I saw that something seemed to trouble you." "Yeah what about it?" You ask just wanting to leave. "I was wondering if you wanted to talk about it." The propose to you. "I don't know if I really wanna talk about it." You say with uncertainty. "It's alright I don't judge." The person calmly says. 'Well, I guess I can talk about it for a bit.' You sit back down along with the person. "So tell me what's on your mind?" He asks. "It's just that today has been very confusing." "Confusing? How so?" He gestures you to go on. "I don't know if I want to talk further about it but today has just been very confusing and hard for me ya know." You confess. "Would like to tell me what happened to make you feel that way then?" He asks. "I don't wanna talk about it if you don't mind." You reply. "It's ok if you don't feel comfortable talking." He reassures you.
