I left Hermione and the boys and headed to the Slytherin Common Room. Ibsais the password and walked into the warm room that was embellished with green lighting, black leather sofas, and snake embroidered into the wood and stone of other objects. A few students were sitting around the fire talking or reading.

The holiday break is coming up in a few days. I didn't want to go home. I didn't want to deal with my parents. But Lucas wouldn't allow me to stay at Hogwarts.

I walked down the few steps leading into the Common Room and towards the hall to the girls' dorms. The girls were off the right while the boys were off to the left. I walked to the end of the hall to my room and opened the door. I walked in, closing the door and taking my coat off and hanging it on the hook that was on the back. I pulled my hat off and walked to my desk throwing it on top of it.

"Have fun with Potter," a voice spoke and I jumped around.

"Bloody hell, Malfoy!" I yelled. "What are you doing here? How did you get in here?" I questioned. He shouldn't have been able to get in here. Not only did the girls' side have a charm that the boys couldn't get past but my door was locked with my own charm that no one could get past.

"I have my ways," he said sitting on my bed. "So, Potter?"

"What about him?" I asked, looking at him as he stood up and walked towards me.

"Are you two a thing now?" He growled slowly standing in front of me.

"No," I said looking at him confused.

"Really? Then why was his arm around your waist as you walked back?" He asked fist clenched at his side's.

Why does he care if I'm dating Harry? I mean I'm not like a brother to me. And how does he even know that Harry had an arm wrapped around my waist as we walked back to the castle?

"One, how do you even know that? And two, why do you care?" I asked him.

"I saw you walking into the courtyard. And I don't care," he said looking down at the floor as his face started to turn light pink.

"Sounds like you care. Sounds like you're jealous," I said, smirking.

"Jealous! Me? Jealous of Potter?! Never! I don't care if you're dating him. Just don't know why you would want a half-blood when you'rea pure-blood. But I guess a blood traitor would do that," he spat.

"What does blood status have to do with it? Half-blood and muggle-born wizards are just as good as pure-blood wizards! And it doesn't look like you're jealous. I mean you found a way into the girls' dorm and then somehow got past the charm I have on my door. And it seems you haven't even thought about what would happen to you if Lucas or even Snape found out you were in my room!" I hissed at him.

"I wonder what your father would say if he heard you were a blood traitor," Draco said, giving me a sinister look.

"What are you going to tell him? Or are you going to run to your daddy?" I asked glaring right back.

"Maybe I should go owl him now," he said, smirking and walking towards the door.

Dear, Mr. Thronheart,

I am writing to inform you that your daughter has been associating with Harry Potter, Mudblood Granger, and Ronald Weasley. She seems to fancy  Potter and is quite close to the Mudblood.

Sincerely,

Draco Malfoy

He said as he turned the handle and started to open the door. Normally I would just let him walk away but I couldn't have my parents find out who my friends were, especially my father. "Fine! What do you want, Malfoy?" I said quietly.

He shut the door and turned to look at me. He had that damn smirk on his face. The one that said whatever was about to come out of his mouth wouldn't be good. I was already regretting it. Maybe I should just tell my father myself.

"Well, firstly, you call your brother off and tell him we're good. Secondly, you can accompany me to dinner," he said.

"That's it?" I asked, kind of confused as to why that's all he wanted.

"Oh, no. I'll have more but for now that's all I want," he said smirking. I sighed and nodded my head "fine. I'll play along with your games just please, don't tell my father," I said ashamed of myself for going this low.

"Let's go. I'm hungry," I told him as I walked past him out the door. "What about your brother?" He questioned. "I'll let him know when we see him in the great hall!" I said not looking behind me.

We walked out of the Common Room and into the cold corridor. I was glad I had my sweater on. We walked up and downstairs until we were in front of the great hall. As we walked in, Draco swung his arm around my shoulders. "What are you doing?" I asked startled. "Part of the deal," Draco whispered. What a git! I hate this. Why did I agree to this? Oh, right so I don't get disowned.

I started to regret my decision when I looked over to the Gryffindor table and saw my friend's face. Ron's mouth was agape, Hermione was surprised but looked disappointed at the same time, and Harry had a hurt look spread across his face, his eyes holding sadness but also... jealousy?

Then it got worse when I saw Lucas storming over to me and Draco. "Malfoy!" He yelled at everyone turning to watch. "I thought I told you to leave my sister alone!" Before he had a chance to grab Draco by the front of his shirt I quickly moved to stand in front of him. "Lucas, stop!" I said putting my hands on his chest. "Lucas! It's Fine! Stop!" I yelled.

"Lucas! Me and Draco are..."

"Are what?!" He yelled in my face, making me jump a little. His face softened as he took a deep breath. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to shout at you," he said softer now.

"We're friends. It's okay," I told him. He glared at Draco and pointed at him "hurt my sister and I'll make you regret ever being born!" He growled at him. Draco nodded and Lucas pulled me into a hug and kissed the top of my head before he let Aurora pull him back to the table.

I grabbed Draco's wrist and pulled him to the table. I was getting uncomfortable with everyone staring at us. I sat down and Draco sat beside me. Crabbe, Goyle, Blaise, and that other kid from earlier sat across from us. Pansy then came walking in and looked around until she met Draco's eyes. He smirked and slid his arm around my shoulders and pulled me closer. My guess was he was tired of her clinging to him. Her face dropped but soon turned into a glare that was directed towards me.
