Anna's POV

I've decided to go hard or go home. Amp up my flirting with Eva and hope for the best. Of course I won't do or say anything that'll make her uncomfortable but I'm definitely gonna go up a couple notches.

At lunch, I got to our usual eating table last because I was chatting with my Math teacher after last period, there were something I was having a bit of an issue with. So I walked in the cafeteria and straight to my girls. Eva and Katie were already there and I'm pretty sure Sab was somewhere with Cooper.

"Wazzzuuup!!" I said with my tongue out as I approached the table.

"Wazzzuuup!!" Eva and Katie said simultaneously.

I sat next to Eva and gave her a side hug, clutching her lower back in the process. She smiled and said "Hey" in a very low tone almost as if she liked what I did. I smiled to myself.

"Where the fuck is Sab?" Katie asked, kinda aggressively.

"Probably with Cooper" Eva and I blurted out at the same time causing us the smack our mouths and laugh.

"Do y'all wann-..." I was about to ask when a girl came up to us and interrupted my question.

She was pretty with blonde hair and a great smile. I was probably zoned out cause I felt Eva nudge me and say "Boon, she's talking to you."

"Huh? What?" I was confused.

"Hi, are you Anna Shumate?" the girl asked very shyly.

"Yup!" I said with my index pointed up and my facial expression kind of animated.

She laughed.

"Well I'm a big fan of your Tiktok videos and I just came across to say hi. Hope to see you around." she was blushing hard at this point.

"Who isn't?" Eva said under her breath and rolled her eyes on the process.

As the girl was about to leave I said "Hey! What's your name?"

"Emily." she replied.

"Nice to meet you, Emily." I said as I stuck my hand out for a handshake.

She shook it and left.

Eva's POV

Well that was awkward and unnecessary because we're eating. Actually that was rude, very rude. I was accustomed to people fawning over Anna but I've never once seen Anna react like that. The hell is wrong with her? I massaged my temples and sighed.

"Eva, you good?" I heard Anna ask.

"Yeah, I'm good. Why, wassup?" I was fake smiling.

"Nun, nun." she said and turned to Katie.

I shouldn't be jealous because Anna is just my best friend but something inside me wasn't comfortable with seeing her show interest in someone.

I have to surpress this feeling one way or another, it's healthy and it could ruin out friendship.

The rest of the day passes by very quickly and now I'm walking out the school and down the stairs. Heading over to Anna's car, I see Katie and the back of another girl. I didn't make out who she was. As I got closer Katie said "Hey idiot, where's Anna?"

The girl turned around and it was Emily. Damn, stalker much? I smiled at Emily and answered Katie.

"I don't know where she is, I thought she was out here already."

I suddenly feel someone's hands around my waist, I jump. I look over my shoulder and Anna's eyes met mine. This damn girl! I'm not complaining though.

"Boo!" she said but not in a scary way.

"BITCH I'M A GHOST!!" Katie shouted and we all cracked up.

Anna's POV

As I was releasing my grip on Eva, I noticed Emily. She was just standing there. I was so focused on Eva I didn't even notice her standing there.

"Hey, I didn't see you. What's up?" I said to Emily. She looked so uncomfortable seeing Eva and I interact. I ignored it of course.

"Hey Anna, I just wanted to personally invite you to a party I'm having on Friday. You and your friends of course." she was looking at her shoes the whole time.

I looked at Eva and Katie for confirmation and they nodded.

"Sure no problem! We'd be there. Send your address and we'd pull up." I told her.

"Uh can I-? Should I-? May I-?....." she fumbled to get the words out.

"Your number Boon, I'm sure she want your number to send the address." Eva said while walking to my car. She sounded over the whole interaction.

"Oh! No problem give me your phone Emily." I say while stretching my hand out for her phone. She gives it to me, I put in my number and she leaves.

Katie and I go to the car. I get in, Eva's already there, arms crossed. I know she's upset but I'm not sure why. It can't be because of Emily. She's just a fan, a pretty one at that.

"You good Eva?" I asked.

"Mhmmm, just tired and ready to go home." she responded with a bit of sass.

"Ohhhkaaayy, lehgooo." I shouted and that made Katie burst out laughing.

Eva was holding back a smile. Good.

I drop them both off and head home. I'm blasting some A Boogie, vibing.

"Buss down, buss down, buss down bitch I'm drowning!" I sing along with the music so loudly.

I get home, no one's home. I make a sandwich and go up to my room. I eat, get some homework done, take a shower and set up myself to get about an hour of gaming in.

I'm interrupted by my phone buzzing.

Unknown number: Hey, it's Emily. *sends address *

Me: Oh, okay! Thanks

Emily: See you tomorrow, bye.

Me: Ok bye.

That was quick, anyway now that I have the address I'm kinda pumped for the party. Emily is a pretty girl but I try not to fuck fans. They are more obsessed with you than anything else, that's sorta taking advantage of that. I don't like it.

I play my game for an hour then I head to bed.
