Me or Her (James Potter)

Chapter 2

  "Collins, Estelle Collins" I shook his hand which fit perfectly with his warm soft hand which was surprising since he played quidditch nonstop practically. He smiled at me while I quick turned my head towards Sirius who was softly smiling at me.....This is going to be a long train ride.....Peter was about to introduce himself when the compartment door slid open with three girls with the faces of disappointment.

"Just are luck even the boys compartment is packed" The blonde girl said eyeing Emily since she was sitting next to Sirius

The red headed girl just smiled and chuckled, "Marlene it's fine we'll just sit with Frank and Alice but first, Hi I'm Lily Evans" she stuck her hand out to Emily who was daydreaming about Merlin knows what

As Emily broke out of her daydream she looked at Lily, "Huh? Oh! I'm Emily Johnson nice to meet you"

Lily smiled, "This is Marlene McKinnon and Mary McDonald"

"Hi!" The two girls responded in sync

.....Why are they acting like we don't have classes together let alone we're in the same bloody year, are we that invisible.....

"And you must be Nathaniel's sister, um Elizabeth right?" Lily said as I got out of my train of thought

"No it's actually Estelle" As I awkwardly smiled I just couldn't help but think about what she just said.....is that what everyone knows me as Nate's sister.....

Sirius saw that I was bothered about what Lily said, "Lily how did you get Elizabeth from Estelle there not even close and your supposed to be the smart one"

"Come on Padfoot it's not Lily's fault and they both start with E's so that counts for something" James quickly responded and straightened his posture

Lily looked annoyed by Sirius response and turned red almost as close Emily was when we went to see my brother

"Leave her alone Sirius, James is right it's not her fault so why don't you shut your yap hole will ya" Marlene said giving Sirius a dirty look

"Honestly it's fine and you don't have to be rude about it Black my name is hard to remember either way plus at least she said a name that starts with an E"

Sirius stood up,"How is your name hard to forget! It means star for Merlins sake your a freaking bloody star not as great of a star as me but still a star!"

Remus pulled Sirius down, "calm down pads it was just a mistake" Sirius was looking straight into Remus is eyes.....they should just kiss already or I'm going to go crazy.....

Lily smiled at me and the three girls started heading out, "It was nice meeting you both!" Mary said before shutting the compartment doors

"Well now we know not to mess up Estelles name or Sirius here will lose his head" Emily said shaking her head while Sirius death started her and the rest of us were laughing

The rest of the train ride was awkward, Remus didn't want to switch seats with me and James kept observing me as if I was a quidditch trophy. Me and Peter got loads of sweets from the trolley lady

"Your going to lose your chocolate frog!!!" Peter screamed bloody murder as my chocolate frog flew out the window

"Yea I saw that coming" I looked down laughing

"What a waste of a perfectly good frog and a waste of money" Peter looked disappointed at me

"Don't worry it was my brothers money so it's fine" I said while James looked at me smiling.....why dose he keep staring at me, is he plotting my murder!.....

a few minutes passed and everyone fell asleep besides me and James, I really didn't want to talk to him not to be rude but I was tired so I pulled out my book and started reading.

"What book are reading?" James said as he was trying to meet my eyes, I kept my eyes on the book because for some reason I felt like once I looked into his Hazel eyes I couldn't look away.....what's happening? Am I getting feelings for James Potter? No that's rubbish I barely started talking to him plus he's obsessed with Lily.....

"The Maze Runner it's a muggle book"

"Well it must be interesting since you can't take your eyes off it" James said smiling trying to get me too look at him

"It quit is actually" I said burying my face deeper into the book but he started laughing at my action

"You know your very interesting your acting like I bite, don't worry I don't but I think Padfoot would-"

"You don't bite but you sure like to shove me out the way" my eyes quickly widened I didn't mean to say that out loud I slowly turned to James who had a very confused and hurt face

"What do you mean shove you?" I didn't know how to respond to his question I was in shock that I actually said that out loud

"N-nothing it's nothing I didn't mean to say that" I turned back to my book and I'm glad he didn't say anything else after that but he now began trying to figure out what I meant and started getting lost in this head. It was like that the rest of the ride to Hogwarts.

"Little Collins wakey wakey!"

I opened my eyes to see Sirius's face up close to mine. I guess I fell asleep, I picked up my head to see what I fell asleep on and I looked up to see James is face and realized I fell asleep on James is shoulder. He just smiled at me and so was Sirius

"Looks like you two got comfortable" Emily said grinning

"For you information I didn't know I fell asleep on his shoulder until Sirius's ugly face was waking me up"

"How dare you say I have an ugly face it's gorgeous!"

I laughed while turning to Remus who's face was red and trying to hold back a smile, as he looked at me I winked and he quickly turned away

"Aw we all know I'm the handsome one here" James said proudly and I couldn't help but smile.

We all got off the train and grabbed our luggage and started heading towards the great hall. I'm finally back home after a train ride that felt like 10,000 years.
