alright so you know already that the main basis of this au is Kitsunes alright but i had to find a way to make that shit work with what the show and manga already had done with out completely fucking everything up because at that point might as well make a new show ya know alright so basically some times the kitsune in my AU end up tied to a Jinchūriki like Rio's mother is tied to Naruto and in turn she has 9 fox tails normally a kitsune gains tails based on power and age but Rio ends up tied to Gaara because kitsunes are also used to keep alliances in check so there always going from one village to another and in Yumi's case(Rio's mom and Naruto's aunt she married his dads cousin) when the alliance with Suna was new she was going back and forth while pregnant and ended up befriending Gaara's mother so in turn a bond was made with Gaara and Rio though there mothers so anyways its not common for a kitsune and there Jinchūriki to be as close in age as Gaara and Rio(Rio is 1-2 months older then Gaara) in fact there is normally a large age gap like with Yumi and Naruto(Yumi was 23 when he was born and in turn was made his guardian)for the soul fact that the lands don't want a Jinchūriki and a Kitsune to become lovers and make offspring(man Gaara and Rio really blew holes in that plain huh XD).
anyways Kitsunes are also used as a massive fail safe ya see if a Jinchūriki ends up taken over by there demon they will have no other choice but to kill them and in turn that will also kill said Kitsune and how is this possible one might ask well i asked myself this as well so don't worry in the case of Rio and Gaara because I'm already using them as my main example Gaara's sand has little to no effect on Rio this is simply because most tailed beasts find Kitsunes fascinating and or even run the risk of becoming obsessed with them or seeing them as equals to a point the kitsune them self's have something to do with this you see a Kitsunes abilities and powers are based on if there bound to a Jinchūriki or not in this case a kitsune that is bound is only 1 level stronger then the highest ranked human ninja and this is as a youth but one that is not in fact bound is as strong as the higher ranked nin but as a adult there strength is still something to behold as one would say.
alright now lets explain how there genes work alright so to be clear 1 out of 10 Kitsunes are born male meaning there a female ran breed/race only a few males are born and even then they have a very low chance of surviving the coma they fall into during puberty.
oh yeah that needs to be explained as well when a Kitsune hits the age for puberty that being around 7-9 they hit puberty rather early in life and for that fact they go in a coma that can last about 1-2 years and so there body can properly prepare and under go the changes and normally they under go the coma in there fox form though some under go the coma as humans it depends what form needs to be worked on if the fox form is weaker the coma will be in that form and same for human anyways about the genes.
so typical biological genetics such as hair eyes high are all at random with a kitsune baby how ever if a stronger gene is in there such as blue eyes ver green it will either be blue or a shade of blue and n rare cases one of each but normally there at random.
now on the topic of hair that is also mostly at random 3-10 kitsune born kids end up with one of there parents hair colors and again most kids have random hair
alright so using my girl Rio as a example once more Rio has light pink hair where as her mother has black hair with silver streaks and her father has light blonde hair and her little brother also has light blonde hair like his father now both Rio and her brother have bright blue eyes like there father.
now lets talk about how that transfers into there fox form the drawing above is of Rio her her daughter Yua ya know the child vagally referenced above but just to be clear Rio=pink and white and Yua=red and black simple.
now i going to use Yua as my main example you see Yua is the exact opposite of her mother basically she ended up looking like her father Gaara with the same red hair eyes with the dark circles and pupleless eyes oh she also inherited his resting bitch face but that's beside the point XD but as i had said above some kitsunes end up with two eye colors well her left eye is green like Gaara's and right is blue like Rio's now i plan to go in full detail on each of my own character or ocs in this au so ill leave this here if you have any questions let me know in the comments ir contact me on my Instagram below anyways enjoy!
