An expected consequence

Start from the beginning

─Take it ─ I took the berry only to bring it closer to the little pokémon; my hand would not be more than one meter away from it, it would only need a couple of steps to reach the so desired fruit, but its fear was even more evident ─ Come on... I won't bite, I won't do anything ─ I burst out laughing, but I was even more trying to control my nervousness as I continued to feel all the dangerous looks of the other pokémon weighing on my shoulders.

He raised his little hand, walked a bit, hesitating on the way, but as soon as he set his stone aside and put both hands on the fruit, I simply sketched a satisfied and calm smile before leaving him the berry, once the little pokémon did not hesitate to run with a mixture of fear and emotion at the same time, back to his own.

Again my eyes were unsettled, as I now saw his back, still limping, I saw the presence of several wounds and bruises.

They were all the same, their wounds, unlike mine, never received any care or even a bandage.

As soon as they all gathered again, the lurking looks disappeared, almost without wanting to pay attention to me, but I would not leave things like that, at least not after what that Riolu said about me.

I inhaled sharply, opened the backpack again in order to look for some things. I knew beforehand that the healing sprays were not expensive, Hina used to throw me out when I was a child, it was something that even I was able to afford at that time; Hina would not be bothered with me if I took out a can, counting everyone except the Riolu and the Buneary, there were eight of them, she wouldn't need more than that. But what I feared was whether they would accept it or not.

Once I had everything on hand, bandages, basic creams and the spray, it didn't take long to look up. They didn't even see me, they just turned their backs on me; no wonder they wanted to ignore me, but that only made me fear their reaction if I took them by surprise.

I didn't even know if it would work, nor was it a pleasure to think that I would be in debt to Hina for two years to pay for everything I had spent on that day alone, but I didn't have the heart of a slave driver to allow those wounds even though I knew I had what it took to take away the pain. The pokémon to which he had given the berry would hardly bet that he had only been born a short time, not to mention the Riolu, at most he had given it a couple of months because of its high voice and its puppy shape.

I got up... the sound was enough to put everyone back on alert; once again I could feel everyone's eyes on me, the nervousness on my face is evident.

I tried to look at everyone; discomfort, fear, some took refuge with the other, doubtful even more once I started to take small and fearful steps towards them, more so where the wagon was, I saw out of the corner of my eye the look of the Riolu.

I expected anger, rage, or a scowl in the face of whatever I was doing.

But all I saw... was a completely stunned and incredulous look.

They did not move, their gazes almost seemed to go away, as did mine, towards that Riolu, but their stupefaction and complete silence disturbed them in the same way, as if they did not know how to react.

For someone so small and so young, I could tell that he was leading them enough to do so, even to make them not act if he did not tell them. I didn't really know what kind of relationship they had with each other, but at least that was easily deduced.
