─We wrote down your case, Mr... ─The man paused his sentence as he saw the identification he had requested from me ─Kurogane... ─He looked at me with a strange look of doubt and a scowl after knowing my last name, but I ignored it ─As soon as we can check the place you indicated to us ─Said the officer as a simple reply, plus my annoyance in that situation was clear, by then twenty minutes had passed without response from them, making detours with the case, noting that miles away they did not even care what happened in the lower sector of the city; But even the pain did not prevent the sound of my palms crashing against the counter from resounding throughout the main hall of the station.
─You want me to believe all that?! We should go now, you' ve got like four cars available outside! You can't let all this keep happening! ─There was too much frustration.
─Hey! ─The guard shouted, making me stop my words accordingly ─You better watch your mouth ─His tone was still overbearing, though more controlled than mine ─A villager has nothing to do in the capital, so take your things, go to your farm and we will do our job ─The policeman declared, plus the gnashing of my teeth was a more than noticeable response to those words; I could only tense the muscles in my hands and arms, before abruptly pulling away from the counter and leaving.

Another hour passed; with my backpack now filled with the medicines that Hina needed for Sora, along with several others that I also wanted to bring so that I could sell them and not wait so long to make a profit, the more expensive ones, along with some basic necessities that still fit into the small space that remained; I walked at a slow pace back to my home. I walked slowly back to my home. I walked around the market, I didn't think I would be able to bear to see those pokémon again if I met them, I didn't think I had enough willpower to do so, but as the minutes passed, the place around me was practically empty, one or another person in a street situation was sleeping or lying drunk on the floor.
The sound of my footsteps on the humid gravel was the only thing that could be heard, along with the noise of the market in the distance, I was careful not to lose my balance, but even so my sight was lost forward; having still alive the memory of those pokémon; with discouragement and pity, those kicks that I did not know if they had been imagined or real, resounded in my head again, each time with greater intensity, making my frown to increase its volume.
One kick... then another one rumbled louder and louder, a little sore moan, I began to get frustrated, I thought my mind was trying to torture me in those moments, but as the sound got louder and louder, my eyes could only open, more and more stupefied...

Those sounds were no longer just my imagination.

My face changed completely, scared and overwhelmed, even hearing a close blow was a reminder, I preferred to think that it could be any other kind of fight, or any situation that was far away from the one I was afraid I would have to face, more as I got closer to the origin, in an alley that connected the lonely street I was in with the rest of the market, I could hardly dare to look out of one of the corners.
There was no remedy... as if the cruel fate sought to show me the consequences of my ineptitude some time ago, the clear and expected consequence of what happened was what my eyes ended up seeing.
