Chapter 11

Kiara's pov

The next morning I woke up with a killer headache. I sat up in bed wondering how I got here, I laughed poor Nathaniel probably carried me here. I went over to the bathroom and grabbed 2 asprin and walked out to the kitchen. I looked at the clock, it was 11:30. I sighed, I was going to have to get a dress for dinner tonight, yay! Shopping trip, my favorite. When I went into the kitchen I saw my iphone on the counter and grabbed it. I was looking through my calender, when my phone rang. Oh God it was my mother.

"Hello?"

"Hi Kiara, I just wanted to check in on you."

"Uh yeah I'm fine mom."

"Well that's good honey. I also wanted to tell you that until you come back to live at home, Mason decided that we should deactivate your credit cards. Since you are not living with us you should get a job and buy your own stuff."

What the hell?! I tried to sound calm while I was talking to my mom to show her it didn't bother me, "Alright mom whatever. I totally agree because after you've lived with that dickhead long enough you'll be broke so nice job, thinking about your future all by yourself. I always knew you were good." I hung up my iphone and threw it on the couch. What was I going to do? My mom had given me three credit cards, but then I rememberd my dad had given me one just in case something like this happened. We may not get along, but he and I have the same opinion on Mason, a gold digging faggot. Hmm those terms almost seem contradictive. I went back to my room and slipped on a halter sundress with a bow that goes around the back, and rainbow sandals. I left a note in the kitchen telling Nathaniel I would be back later and not to wait up for me. I grabbed the keys to my black car and my gucci bag and ran outside.

Once I had gotten to the mall I did not really know where to start. I knew the place we were going for dinner was kind of fancy, but not that fancy. So I decide that some nice jeans and a nice top would do. I went into Neiman Marcus and started looking for a pair of jeans, I ended up taking 6 pairs to the dressing room. I decided to buy 2 pairs of tight skinny jeans and a normal pair, they were True Religion and made my butt look awsome. Once I bought them I started looking for tops. I passed a few on sale ones, but they were from the winter and were long sleeved. I walked over to the contemporary part of the store and finally found the perfect top. It was a strapless dark purple tube top. I almost jumped with joy, as I was walking to the front of the store to buy my top I passed the shoe department. Well I've seen them now, no use and ignoreing them I said to myself. I walked thorugh the isles of shoes and settled on a paif of black balet flats with a bow on the front. Ah i have the perfect outfit.

I walked out to the parking lot and threw my stuff in the passenger seat and got in the car. As I started the car my iphone started ringing, it was Nathaniel.

"Hello?"

"Hey Kiara where are you?"

"Oh I went shopping, do you want to meet up for lunch?"

"Sure I'll meet you at burger house in 15 minutes."

"Kay bye." I hung up the phone and began driving to burger house. My phone started ringing again, I pushe the answer button on the steering wheel.

"Hello?"

"Hey Kiara it's Carlos, I was just making sure we were still on for tonight."

"Oh yeah sure we are. It sounds like fun, I'll see you at 7:30."

"Alright bye Kiara."

"Bye Carlos." I pushed end and wondered why Carlos was so eager to have dinner with me. I mean no one gets that excited over dinner, and besides I'm a student not some friend of his.

When I got to Burger house Nathaniel was already there waiting for me. "You know you didn't have to wait for me, I could have joined you later."

Nathaniel got up and casually put his arm around my shoulders, "nah I'd rather wait so I can eat with you."

"Aww thanks."

We sat down as our food was being made. I put my elbows on the table, "so what did you do today?"

Nathaniel looked up at me, "oh nothing after I woke up and you were gone I started panicking thinking that you went somewhere without me, but as I was panicking I realized htat you pobably went out to buy me something cause I'm just the best person ever"

I rolled my eyes at his sarcasm, "well it just so happens that I did get something for you." I pulled out the recipts to my puchases this morning and handed them to him, "here a little gift from me to you. Or well I guess you to me." I winked as I started laughing.

"Ha ha very funny. Why does the recipt say your dads name on it?"

I took them back, "oh well y mom called me this morning saying that Mason deactivated my cards so I would have to go get a job, but then I rememberd my dad had given me a card so I just used that one."

"Oh I see." Nathaniel said as one of the waiters set our food down on the table. We ate in silence, well this is awkward. When we were done we walked out to my car well both of my cars I should say.

As I was getting in my car  I said, "what are you doing tonight Nathaniel?"

"Um I don't know. I was planning on going to another party, but right now I'm going job hunting for the summer."

"Oh well alright, I wont be home tonigh I'm going to dinner with a friend. So I guess I'll see you later then?"

"Yeah, have fun at dinner."

I got in the car and shut the door behind me as he started making his the to his/my car. I felt bad for not telling him I was going to dinner with Carlos, especially they did not seem to like each other that much, but Carlos had told me not to tell anyone. I drove home and saw it was about 2:30, so I decided to get my nails and hair done since they both looked like a disaster, then I would come back here and get ready then meet Carlos as the steakhouse.

**two and half hours later**

When I got home I went to my room to get ready for dinner. I had gotten extentions in my hair so now it was just above waist like a few inches under my boobs. I had gotten a french manicure on my toes and fingers. As I was slipping my jeans on I got a call from my dad. I picked up my iphone, "hey dad. Can't talk long I'm going out for dinner tonight."

"Hey Kiara I just wanted to see how you're doing, you know not living with your mother anymore."

"Oh I'm fine dad, excellent actually."

"Oh well that's good because today I got a weird call from Mason telling me to deactivate your credit card. I told him no and he said if you didn't learn how to support yourself then you would never survive in the real world, so he threatened to sue me."

I laughed, "Yeah he deactivated the cards from mom, and she told me to get a job."

"Ah I see. Well I told Mason that he should be the one to get a job instead of goldigging off of your mother, because it seems he will need it more than you do since his life is going nowhere. I also told him your mothers money will run out soon so he better start looking for another wife."

I laughed so hard my stomach started hurting, "wow dad that's a good one. I can't believe that you said that."

"Well I'm glad you liked, anyways I would love if you came to dinner tomorrow night. I just want to catch up with you, only if you don't mind eathing with the rest of my family."

I thought about it for a second, "alright I'll eat dinner with you guys. I'll see you tomorrow at 6:30"

"K bye Kiara."

"Bye dad."

I hung up my iphone and walked over to my bed where I had set my clothes out, I quickly slipped everything on and went outside to my car. Since Nathaniel was still out and had taken my red car, I was stuck with the black one. I walked outside and got into my car, I blasted the stereo as I drove to the restaurant.
