Did you know that Marinette's dad is actually not Tom's daughter? She's actually from Gotham. Jonathan Kent is her older brother. Yup. You heard it here. Marinette is actually the daughter of Clark Kent and Lex Luthor. The famous journalist that's also Superman. And the billionaire of Gotham.
When Clark and Sabine was in high school, they were best friends. They had a summer romance after senior year and soon, Sabine got pregnant. They had to go to college so they parted ways. At his university, Clark discovered he was bisexual and started dating Lex Luthor. While Sabine was in Paris, she went to culinary school where she started to fall in love with Tom. They started dating when Marinette was born and 2 years later, they got married. Clark continued to pay for child support, because Marinette was his child, Sabine and Clark are still best friends (NOTHING MORE) and he gets to see Marinette and her other family during the summer and the holidays. Lex and Clark got married and Lex considers Marinette his step daughter and though he's cold and distant, he is a loving father and husband.
Marinette also has a strong new jersey accent, though she doesn't like talking in it, so she just mimics a french one. Her boyfriend is Daimen. And she's "Gotham's Ray Of Sunshine". Even the villains love her. Like her aunt Harley, Auntie Ivy, Auntie Wonder, Uncle Jack, Etc. She's 17 now, in her last year of high school.
Anyways, onto the story! Ever since Lila Rossi came back, life for Marinette's been hell. Her so-called friends turned her back on her. Even Adrien. But when friends go, they come. Chloe apologised to Marinette. A heartfelt one too. Marinette could tell she was genuine about it. As soon as she started, she burst into tears and apologised.
Flashback:
"Y-You don't have t-to forgive m-me! I j-just wanted to l-let you know that I'm s-so so s-sorry Marinet-" Chloe begged but was cut off by Marinette hugging her.
"I was never mad at you. I was just afraid you had lost your way." Marinette whispered with tears in her eyes. (Avatar reference, see what I did there?). "T-Thank y-you.." Chloe sobbed. They sat and had a good cry.
"Chloe, now that Hawkmoths been defeated, I want to tell you something." Marinette sighed. "Oh. Alright, whadya need, Marinette... No... Mar-bear." Chloe agreed. Marinette laughed. "No! Not the nicknames! Haha! ...But no seriously... Spots on." Marinette said as she transformed. "M-Mar-bear..." Chloe started.
*Queenie.exe has stopped working.* No but seriously, that made Chloe's tears come back up. "Queenie don't cry, you're gonna make be tear up." Ladybug said. comforting her.
"I'm alright, I-I'm alright." Chloe said wiping her tears away.
End of Flashback.
Kagami and Luka moved to their school and was also sick of Lila's lies. And their dating now. They all know each other's identities. Chloe has moved on from Adrien, he's a jerk now, Luka and Kagami are together, Marinette and Daimen are dating. Marinette also told Chloe about her adoption and how Gotham was like.
*The next day at school*
"Hello, guys!" Lila walked in. "Hey, Lila! How are you doing today?" Alya said as she helped her to her seat. Lila sat in Marinette's seat. "Oh, y'know, doing fine. Though Marinette was threatening me in the bathroom, everything's great!" Lila lied. "Oh that girl! I'm not even surprised!" Alya sighed. She still didn't see why Marinette would do this but because she was so akin to Lila, she just sided with her.
Marinette walked in and Alya was screaming at her. She just sighed and walked to her seat. "Uh... Lila? That's my seat, sorry." Marinette pointed out. "Oh! Well I had severe hearing issues so I kinda need to sit in the front." Lila lied. She smirked and Marinette growled and went to Chloe and sat down right next to her. "Don't mind that brat. She has one brain cell anyways." Chloe joked. Marinette snorted. "Ah, Queenie! You always know how to make me laugh." Marinette chuckled before Mrs. Bustier came in.
"Hello class!" She said. "Hello Mrs. Bustier." The class said. "I've been planning for months for this and it's finally coming true. We're going on a school trip this friday. Everything'll be paid for by the school because we've been saving up to take the class out. We're going to Gotham!" Mrs. Bustier told. Marinette's eyes lit up. Her eyes are a usual dull grey with a blue tone to it. 'Gotham?! YES! I'LL BE ABLE TO GET AWAY! AND SEE JAY-JAY, TIM, DICK, DAIMEN! AND MY AUNTS AND UNCLES! THANK YOU, UNIVERSE!' Marinette screamed in her head. "You look happy. Is it because your going to Gotham?" Kagami said, sitting next to her. "Yup! I'm from there actually!" Marinette said, revealing her perfect english and New Jersey accent. "Oh that's super cool!" Chloe said getting in on their convo. "Thanks and-" Marinette said but was cut off by Lila.
"Oh yay! I've been waiting to see Damiboo for some time now!" Lila exclaimed. 'Damiboo?' Marinette thought. "Wow! THE Daimen Wayne is your boyfriend?!" Alya believed. "Idiots." Chloe murmured. "Hm? What was that, you brat? Oh, you and Marinette can have each other! You're the idiots anyways! And you can continue what you said Lila." Alya said. "Thank you. I'm actually from Gotham. I'm MDC! And Nettie. (you'll find out who that is in the next chapter.)" Lila exclaimed. 'OK NO. SHE CAN TAKE AWAY MY FRIENDS SHE CAN TAKE AWAY MY HOUSE, BUT SHE DOESN'T STEAL MY NAME.' Marinette thought. "Oh but you're not her." Marinette shouted.
"Girls! Quiet down! I'm giving a lesson." Mrs. Bustier told off the girls. "Sorry." They all said in unison.
'Well This is gonna be an... interesting trip.' Marinette thought.
