A/N: For those of you currently reading the story, sorry for the confusion! I wanted to write a prologue for a bit more insight, and some foreshadowing.

***

For a long time, I thought I knew what love was. I thought it was some twisted and cruel fate that people signed themselves up for.

I thought love was a contract.

But then, I met him. He was everything that words can't explain. He showed me how to love someone when I thought I couldn't. He even showed me that I too, was deserving of love.

Because of him, I've come to the realization that not even carefully crafted sentences, and thoughtful words of expression could possibly begin to explain just what love is. We simply cannot bind it to a page when its demeanor is free.

He helped me open a new door that I didn't know was there. I was able to write a new chapter.

Every step you take, every page that you turn, it's up to you wether or not you move on. Sometimes you just need a push.

He was my new chapter, and I turned the page for him.

"Sunshine?" a voice next to ear startled me, and I stopped my scribbling of words and set down my pencil on my desk, and closed my notebook.

"Yes, love?" I replied, shifting in my chair to angle myself towards him.

He pressed a soft kiss to my cheek and asked, "What are you writing?"

"I'll show you when the time is right."

"And when will that be?" He ran his fingers through my blonde hair, and then rested his hand on my jawline. I looked into his piercing, green eyes and a chill went down my back. The cold metal of his rings was a contrast to the warmth radiating from his skin.

"Soon." I smiled up at him. He ran his thumb over my cheekbone as he smiled back at me.

"I'm willing to wait however long. I waited this long to find you," he said softly.

I stood up from my seat and wrapped my arms around his torso, and pulled him closer to me. I got on my tiptoes to press a delicate kiss to his soft lips that tasted slightly of coffee on most occasions.

I loved this man with every part of me. Even now, he still managed to make my heartbeat quicken and the butterflies in my stomach return. When I'm with him, it seems that the rest of the world disappears. Yet, the simplest of sounds seemed to be more noticeable. The birds in the trees singing an offbeat melody, or the gust of wind blowing through the open window in my apartment. Maybe it was because he heightened my senses.

"I'm so in love with you," He whispered, leaning his forehead against mine. Everything else faded away in this moment. He was the only thing on my mind.

"And I'm so in love with you, Harry. I always have been."
