..............................................................................................................................

I woke up with my eyes widely open.

"Hah... hah..." I breathed heavily. I just remembered my past life before I was born into this world.

If I remembered correctly, in the past I was just an average college student, with average looking and the average brain. I had a normal family and life. Nothing had been extremely good or bad.

Wait, how did I die again?

"Uuung..." I mumbled. If I remembered correctly... I died because... wait...

I slipped on the soap in my bathroom and my head pounded the bathroom's floor.

Are you kidding me?! What a ridiculous way to die!!! I cried and mocked myself because of my stupidity.

Well... what had been done was already done. I felt regretful and sad for my parent and family. Now, maybe they were busily prepared for my burial and all. My mom would be crying, my dad would be the one who dug my grave, and my sister would place my favorite flower, the white rose, on my grave.

I scratched my back head. Well, at least, with my death, my parent would have one burden lifted up. We had struggled with money after all. I crocked a small smile, even though I felt something clenched my heart tightly.

Okay! Let's carefully analyzed this world I had been reincarnated. New life, new spirit! Or so, I said, until I found a diary. After I remembered my past, my memories about this present life kind of became a bit blurry, maybe it was because the memories were overlapping? I don't know. For now, let's find some clues.

I read the first page. There was a name. Niskala Rangda...? Since in my past life I was an Indonesian, those words were not sound weird to me. 'Niskala' means abstract, while 'Rangda' was a name of a queen of The Leak, or witch, in Balinese and old Javanese mythology. Such a weird name, oi, what kind of family named their child after this hateful character?!

Wait, I felt like, I had been heard about this somewhere.

'... both of the villainess and her side-kick were named after two wicked witches from two different countries. The author claims that she chooses the name 'Rangda' because this side character was inspired by Indonesian mythology...'

Those were quote that I read, if I am not wrong, from a novel... wait I forgot the title... uummm...

"DEAR!!!" 'BAM!!!'

I jolted. Suddenly, the door was burst open. In front of me, a woman, who seemed like a middle-aged, with a chubby face and fat body, curly grey hair, lightly tanned skin, a little bit shorter than me, and had a motherly figure, stood with a surprised expression.

"Ooh, thank goodness, you already woke up! I worry because I hear some tapping sound came from your room,"

She told me with a calm and soft voice, while I was standing here with my eyes wide opened and felt my heart just dropped in my stomach. Why she looked like my mom from my past life?!

Even the way she woke me up was very similar to my mom. The only difference was... this woman has a grey with some white strands coming out instead of black. Wait, grey hair?

My mind came back to life when she suddenly touched my forehead. My mom's hand, warm and had a few calluses but still felt soft.

She said with a worried tone, "Hmm... I guess the fever already came down... are you still feeling hurt in your head? It has been a while since you had such an awfully fever..."

I tried to find my voice besides the shocking feeling that I had. Actually, my head was hurt and I felt like I was spinning around because this was too much to be handled!

"I think... I am okay," I nodded and tried to smile. I could swear my smile must be liked someone who held her urgent to poop.

The woman smiled and it seemed to look relieved even though still worried. Then, she said, "Well, come down and eat your food then, your Dad came home last night, and brought your favorite food. I already heated it up, so you can eat that as your breakfast!" She paused before she said, "Wait, wash your face... no, go take a bath. You must be sweated a lot because of the fever. If you take a bath maybe you feel fresher, not like some zombies who just got up from their grave," I turned my head to my right and saw a big mirror stood there.

"Ah," I said with a surprised voice, while she laughed at my expression and her joke, while she walked down.

There in the mirror, stood a girl, with a face that looked like me in the past, but with longer, wavier, and messier black hair, like a rat's fur, round chubby face with some acne scars on her right and left cheeks, two bigger front tooth, and average body with the chubby stomach.

Wait, I remembered now. The description of the villainess's sidekick. The worst character in the story. Niskala Rangda!

I BECAME THE VILLAINESS' SIDEKICK!!!
