"You are writing to a boy!" Oberon squealed after he read the letter

Oberon was a right royal pain. He was Ally's biggest fan and was always encouraging her to put herself out there but it really wasn't like this with Remus. Did she like it when she held his hand? Of course. Did she think that he was incredibly handsome? Who wouldn't? Did she like the way that he stood up for her that one time in front of the slytherin fourth years? Merlin's balls of course. But liking Remus Lupin in a romantic way? Ally didn't think so.

"Look Oberon it's nothing. He's a friend—"

"Is it the cardigan wearing one? That's friends with Sirius? I must write to him immediately!" He squealed again

"Bloody hell what's with all the noise?" Wolf asked as and Atlas and Caspian followed suit

"Nothing. Casp where's Septimus? I need to send a letter," she asked

"She's sending a letter to a boy," Oberon added

"Oberon," she hissed

"What boy? I haven't seen you around a boy this term?" Caspian asked taking a look at the letter "you're writing a love letter to Remus Lupin?" He asked with a low whistle

"Merlin's bloody balls. It is not a love letter. It is me, checking up with a friend for Christmas and Oberon piss off you're literally meant to be at work?" She asked taking the letter from caspian's hands

"Now now Cece, why don't you invite the young man for some dinner?" Wolf asked

"Nope. Remus and I are friends, I met him through Sirius. He's not even interested in me anyway so it doesn't matter. Now where is that bloody owl so I can send a letter so he receives his Christmas present?" She asked sternly

"Of course AllyCat. Ignore these oafs. They are just trying to rile you up before the ball tonight," atlas smiled

Ally almost forgot about the pureblood ball tonight. As usual, they were meeting with the Blacks before going and Ally and Regulus would now have to dance together. Arcturus had said that Walburga and Orion were still trying to push the notion of the two to be married. Arcturus realised it wasn't something he wanted for his daughter after a long conversation with Perseus.

"So, what was it that drew you to Remus Lupin?" Wolf smirked

Ally grabbed the pillow from her bed and threw it over at him he ducked which resulted in the pillow hitting Oberon instead but Ally didn't mind. One of them deserved to get hit with a pillow anyway.

The brothers were winding Ally up so much because Atlas was sure that his sister did in fact like Remus because when he saw them at the quidditch match he hadn't expected Ally to ever be so shy in front of a boy. He felt incredibly bad for even spilling the secrets, especially after what she had told him about being drugged. He wouldn't have been surprised if Ally wanted to avoid men for the rest of her life. He would be happy with that decision, there was no bloke that would ever be good enough for his little sister.

Oberon moved to throw the pillow back when there was a tapping on the window. Ally opened and saw it was a letter from Sirius. She was confused as she hasn't realised that Sirius would ever write to her but she opened the letter anyway.
