"I swear- She was fine for a moment, and then after she looked at me they went for her..."
"It's not your fault Harry-"
"It's mine, I hit the Quaffle by mistake-"
Aries slowly opened her eyes, her body felt like it had been tossed off the Astronomy tower.
The whole Quidditch team, plus Ron and Hermione were standing over her.
George was crying.
"George- It's not your fault" Aries spoke and everyone looked surprised.
She slowly sat up, groaning as she did. George rushed to her side and helped her.
"What happened?" She asked.
"The dementors- You fell like.. 50 feet" Fred answered, he also looked like he had been crying.
"We thought you died" Ron said blatantly, and Aries smiled to herself.
"I wouldn't make it that easy. Are we doing a rematch?" Aries asked, and everyone looked suspiciously at eachother. "Did we lose?"
"Cedric got the snitch while you and Harry were up there. Said he didn't realize. I reckon he feels bad, offered a rematch-" George started.
"But Oliver said they won fair and square..." Fred finished.
"He tried to follow us in here but Fred and George chased him off," Harry said.
"Where's Oliver?" Aries asked.
"Still in the showers. We think he's trying to drown himself.
Then Fred and George started to bicker with Harry if they thought they could make up the points. Aries was crushed.
"It's not your fault Aries. The dementors- Dumbledore was furious. Never seen him that mad. They weren't supposed to come in the grounds, since you're... you know... Sirius Black's daughter.... Sent them right off." Hermione explained, being the only one to notice she was upset.
This got Fred's attention.
"It really wasn't your fault- You were just doing want you were supposed to- the dementors got you, it's not your fault."
"Angelina was right..." Aries said, making everyone look to Angelina. "I never should have been put on the team."
Angelina's face flushed and she quickly rushed to Aries' side.
"I didn't mean it, Black, really. I was just jealous because I was almost put on the reserve. No one, not even Wood blames you..."
Aries smiled gratefully, but then it fell. "Where's my broom? My uncle bought it for me when I was little-"
The guilty looks came back.
"When you fell off... it sort of... flew off..." Fred started.
"Right into the Whomping Willow" George finished.
Ron was holding the pieces.
Aries asked that Hermione take the pieces to Aries' room. She couldn't just throw it away, it had been one of James' brooms.
"Okay, you've all seen her. She needs her rest, we still have bones go heal." Madame Pomfrey warned, and almost everyone went out, except for Fred who sat on a chair beside her, holding her hand.
"Mr. Weasley-"
"Please let me stay? I won't cause any trouble, promise. I just don't want her to be alone..." Fred pleaded.
Madame Pomfrey looked at Fred and then to Aries who was staring at the redhead.
"Fine. But if you distract her, you'll be right out."
