OK here is a recap of what happened

"Uhhh Mrs. Aberdeen?" I said feigning a lost look.

"Yes, what is it dear?" she said after she had turned around.

"I was wondering if you could tell me how to get to Mrs. Daniole's class, American Literature?" I said.

That's when the boy turned around.

My mouth had slightly gaped open at the sight of him. He was far beyond gorgeous, Myra's rumor couldn't even compare to him. I quickly shut my mouth and swallowed. I didn't want to risk drooling not that that would happen, but first impressions count. I forced my eyes off of him and looked back at Principal Aberdeen.

"Ah, yes Mrs. Daniole's. Uhhh... wait, just give me a minute"

She picked up small paper that looked to be a schedule . Then her eyes lit up and she smiled.

"Well your very lucky because that's exactly where I am taking this young man"

"Huh?" I said now actually confused.

"Ohh! I'm so sorry, I haven't introduced you!" she said.

New Character's P.O.V. (he calls some people by their last names)

Ever since I saw her face I hadn't stopped looking at it she was the most beautiful person I had ever set eyes on. She seemed to be forcing herself not to look at me because her eyes kept flicking back to my face.

"Ohh! I'm so sorry, I haven't introduced you!" Aberdeen said her eyes looking to me asking for permission, I nodded and she smiled. On the other hand the girl looked clearly delighted.

"Skyla Hampton this is Colton Silverstone, our new student" Aberdeen said gladly.

Skyla Hampton what a perfect name for her.

Skyla's P.O.V.

"Hello Skyla, it's a pleasure to meet you" Colton said, but for some reason I don't think that was what he really wanted to say.

"Uhhh, hi" I said shyly and probably blushing.

He had this powerful aura about him. I was worried about what he would say.

"Mrs. Aberdeen I believe that you have a meeting starting soon? You mentioned it earlier. If it is not a problem with you, is it possible that Miss Hampton could take us to our class, perhaps?" he said in a quite sophisticated manner.

"Uhhh sure just let me tell her where to go" the principal said walking over to me.

"2nd floor, right wing, 3rd room from the guidance office, blue door with silver numbers that say 275, OK?" she said.

"Yes, thank you Mrs. Aberdeen" I said sweetly.

Then she turned and started to walk down the hall towards the meeting/conference room. As I started to walk to the elevator I started to feel like someone was watching me. I looked over my shoulder and saw Colton following 2½ feet behind me staring at my face. I decided that if I didn't talk then I would save myself from embarrassment. But I wasn't sure how that would work out.

"Your name suites you, Skyla" he said when I stopped and waited for the elevator.

His voice gave me shivers down my spine.

"Uh thanks?" I said.

"Your last name is Hampton... Does your family own that place Hampton Inn?" he questioned.

"No... And if they did I wouldn't know, they disappeared when I was 5" I said my voice faltering when I mentioned their disappearance.

"Ohh, I'm so sorry. I didn't know" he said, with sincere apology in his voice.

"It's OK" I sniffles holding back tears while he slowly walk closer with a worried and slightly distressed look.

"Ohh, please don't cry, don't cry please" he said sounding worried as we walked in the elevator.

But the next thing that happened I wasn't expecting. Colton pulled me towards him and he hugged me. Holding my head in one of his hands and stroking my back with the other, he started making soft hushing noises. Surprisingly I didn't freak out and yell at him like I would of, instead I actually relaxed and wrapped my arms around around him. Having him holding me made me feel oddly safe for some reason.

"Shhh shh I'm sorry, but please don't cry" he whispered above my ear.

I knew that this type of thing doesn't last so I helped myself and moved my body away slowly, took deep breath, blinked a few times; so if any possible tears were in my eyes they wouldn't mess up my makeup, and I gave a small smile. Then the elevator doors opened.

"Well I guess we should go to class, they will be wondering where we were" I said.

"Uhhh yea, and I'm sorry if I invaded your personal space" he said his face turning a shade slightly redder than usual showing that he was embarrassed.

"That's OK, it actually made me feel better, but that's just between you and me 'k?" I said meaning it.

"Yeah now let's get to class" he said," lead the way."

"OK right wing... Ohh, this way" I said walking.

"Uhhh if you don't mind, I will tell Mrs. Daniole why we were late" he said.

"Uhhh sure" I said as I knocked on the door with the silver numbers 275.

"Ahh, you finally made it hear Miss Hampton" Mrs. Daniole said after I walked in.

Just when I was about to say something Colton walked into the room and spoke to the teacher.

"Mrs. Daniole, the principal was showing me around and Miss Hampton was lost, and since had been placed in her class and Mrs. Aberdeen had a meeting to go to, she told Miss Hampton and I how to get here. I'm sorry if our being late caused any inconvenience to you, I will try to not have it happen again" Colton said smoothly.

My goodness gracious, I was right about him having a powerful aura. I learned about auras from my mother, one of the few things that she taught me. She had taught me how to read people- mostly by their body language and eyes; how to see, feel, and read other people's auras- probably why I could read Colton's, and she taught me how to sing although I haven't sang since she disappeared. I missed my parents more than anything in the world. Even if I didn't know them for a long time. Mrs. Daniole started to say something but I didn't hear her, I was just too deep in thought. She passed out a sheet of paper with a list on it, probably of supplies and rules for the class. I got a text from Selena asking me if I could come to her place for the night, I texted her back saying 'sure but have 2 check with the monster first'. These girls are like my long-lost sisters from another lifetime. Colton Silverstone, my he was perfect; Ugh! This is sooo confusing, I have never liked a boy or even let one that close to me before! It had taken me a week to gain the courage to get out of my room in the Jones house after I had been adopted, I was afraid of the 2 boys, Glenn and Rett Jones. The 2 Jones girls, Mikayla and Marissa Jones, were trying to find some form or way to like me or as I know it- try to turn me into a Mikayrissa (both of them combined) clone. Well, this is going to be a long day- but I can't wait to get to Selena's house.

Sooo? How is the new chapter and not to mention the new character? Sorry for the delay, I got sickish and had to help shoveling the snow. I am trying my best to get the book written, and has anyone read, the assignment, by KarenBarros8 she is my bestie so yeah thanks for your time and patience.
