تشتهر الجزيرة بطبيعتها الخلابة، وتعتبر وجهة الربيع المفضلة لدى الكوريين. وصنفت الجزيرة كأول جزيرة بطيئة لذلك تستضيف الجزيرة مهرجان "المشي ببطئ" سنوياً في ابريل تحت عنوان (في البطء سعادة)، يحث المهرجان المشاركين على المشي ببطئ قدر الإمكان في الجزيرة للاستمتاع بالنظر إلى حقول الأرز والعشير و حقول أزهار الكاميليا الصفراء وتأمل طبيعتها الجميلة إلى جانب البحر. كم تم اختيار الجزيرة من قبل وزارة السياحة وسي ان ان كوجهة يجب زيارتها عند الذهاب لكوريا
