The multiverse, set dimensions and planes spanning out and connecting like shards of a broken mirror, each similar, yet different. Upon a hill looking over a burning city we see a single silhouette, we see now his face as he looks off to the burning city. Quickly he turns and says. "Well, this dimension screwed, guess i'm gonna have to find a new one. Sucks to I was really starting to like it here." he pulls up his robotic arm as a hologram pops up. "Computer, locate a dimension as similar to this within basic travel distance." the hologram pulls up a web of interlocking planes and the data surrounding them. A match after a short time was found, as it was the computer voice reappeared and stated. "Dimension 24-T has been selected." "good, what differences have been located in this dimension?" "Dimension 24-T appears to be the same as your current dimension minus the following entities..." the computer goes on as darkness trails off in thought of all he's losing from this dimension. "Will this suffice sir?" the voice creeps in under darkness' thoughts, "oh shi- yes, lock location and ready the dark matter generators for energy release." "right away sir." as he lifts his arm it changes into a cannon like appendage surrounded by green sparks and lightning before firing out a large portal into the empty hillspace beside him. Before entering he gave the dimension he knew one final look before stepping into the portal. The portal was a tube of green and black energy, spiraling round and round as darkness walked through onto the otherside. "Computer, message my kids and have them meet in the lab, tell them to bring any belongings they want with them as we're about to move, one of the robots will be there to open a portal for them." "right away sir, anything else you want me to do." "Yes, have the other robots gather my belongings from the lab and transfer them to the new lab location in 24-T." "on it now sir." "thank you."

As he stepped through the portal he looked around. "All seems good as of now, identical hill, identical tree, identical ci- shit." he looked to see a nearly identical city to the one he left in his old dimension, what he saw though not a city of broken building and fire, was a city with explosions and screams coming from the center square. "computer, analysis on what's going on." he clicked his boots together, activating their jets as the computer spoke to him. " there appears to be a powered villain attack occuring in the town square, data suggests he may be linked with one of this dimension's lead crime organizations." "damn it, i was hoping to settle in and relax a bit before having to fight someone, doesn't help the attack's right near the sight for the new lab." The scene shows a villain blowing up sections of street and vehicles, he screams out. "Come face me you damn coward, i'll blow up this entire block if i have to!" not long after a shadow appears above him, when he looks up, he sees darkness. " hey bud, would you mind knocking it off, i'm trying to move in and i don't want my equipment damaged." not but a moment after the villain threw an explosion at darkness. "Stay outta my way asshole!" " Christ, fine, you wanna play rough, then have a taste of this!" he extends his arm and fires off a massive blast of energy engulfing the villain. "That should teach him to play with fire." "Nice try you jackass, but it's gonna take more than that to take me down!" the smoke clears revealing the villain covered in cuts and burns but still standing. He blasts himself into the air using a building as a jumping point. "Now, DIE!" darkness moves back and turns his arm into a hammer before slamming into the concrete knocking him unconscious. "Next time, try to be a bit smarter in your attack." he takes out a cigarette and lights it using his robot hand, he then walks off over to the site of the new lab to check the current progress. On his way he opens a hologram and says. " computer, send one of the robots off to investigate that guy i just kicked the ass of and see if there's any clues who he may work for or what he was after." "right away sir, i'll notify you as soon as the data is ready." he enters an abandoned old apartment building going into the basement. "Geez, guess this dimension's version of my old place went outta business." he enters the basement to a green glow as his robots enter and exit a portal bringing in boxes and large machines and neatly placing them around the room. One of the few humans in the room turns to see her darkness enter. Her face goes from one of surprise to pure joy as she sees who entered the room. "DAD!" she yells as she runs over and hugs him, nearly knocking him over. "Geez, you almost made me fall, how're you doing veronica?" "i'm good, i got your message and came straight over." "that's my girl, how'd you enjoy seeing your brother and sister for a change." he snickered as he said this. She looks down and says. "They're not here yet, they texted me and said they were running a bit late, something about..." she gets cut off as a group of figures comes through the portal. "Sorry we're late dad, the kids had a hard time packing up and getting out the door." " no problem Felicia, glad you and the kids made it safe and sound." "no thanks to you old man." chimed Felicia's husband flicker with a smirk and a laugh. " ah shut up flicker you entitled rich boy." they snicker and laugh as they give each other a side armed hug. The kids run through the portal and barrel into darkness. "Big Paw!" their faces are bright and smiling. " They were excited to come as soon as I said we were going to visit you dad." said Felicia. Vincent came in through the portal. "Same here dad." "ah vincent, how's it going, working hard or hardly working." he smiled toward his son as he gave a smirk back. "You know the answer to that dad." he gives a light chuckle before being bumped into by one of the robots carrying a box. "Hey CN-G11 be careful with that!" "yes sir" replied the robot. Veronica asks, "What's in it?" "that box is full of all my liquor." "DAD!" yells out Felicia, "what i can't move into a new lab and leave all my good booze behind." he gives a smile and laughs lightly.

"oh, thank you computer, pull it up on the primary monitor." darkness and his family watch as the computer pulls up the data on the thug. " no previous data could be found on the thugs identity but we did find he was wearing this pin which appears to belong to the criminal organization blackout. In the rubble of one of the buildings we found a body with a mark belonging to the black x gang." "black X?! They exist in this dimension as well?!" says Victor in surprise and anger. "Appears so, but remember Vincent, these aren't the same black x that took your eye replies darkness. Vincent looks down at his fist, remembering what he went through with the black x. Darkness says "remember everyone, as of now we need to get settled into this new dimension, try not to put too much attention onto us." Felicia looks to darkness and rebuttals "more than you already have dad?" she gives him a smart look and smirk. "Ok i admit it wasn't the best decision to get involved but the new lab sight was in jeopardy and people needed help. Cant have our new home destroyed on the first day." everyone nods in agreement.

While this occurs we transfer back to the thug as he gets dragged off by a pair of shadowed figures. When he wakes he finds himself before a shadowy figure, his eyes bright as fire pierces through the darkly lit room. "You seem to have failed on your mission." the shadow's voice says as he looks at the thug, now kneeling on the floor in fear for his mistake. "Pl-please sir, it wasn't my fault some random person got involved!" the shadow's eye's pierced through the man, "did i ask for an excuse?!" "n-no si..." the man then falls, a hole through his chest. The shadowy figure then presses a button on his desk and says. "Find whoever got in our way, and destroy him."
