King's Game || Jean Kirstein X Reader

Hey ! I literally wrote this for my friend but I decided to share it as you know, sharing is caring, I guess.  

It was a casual night, you were studying for your class, it was around 8pm and you'd run out of coffee for your all-nighter. After contemplating whether or not to go without it, you decide it was a good idea if you didn't want to pass out half way through. You got your clothes on in a very casual,comfy outfit and went out to the nearest Starbucks.

Walking there, slowly with your headphones, plugged deep into your ears as you blast tunes, you check your phone, no surprise, no messages - you had friends but none of them really messaged you so you didn't really know why you bothered checking your phone.

Finally, getting to the Starbucks, you ordered your usual and sat down on the cushioned seats then looked outside, noticing that on the nearby steps and railings there were the self proclaimed "skater" boys, 'ew' You replied to the sight of them in your head.

You continued to insult them in your head before the barista at the counter, called your name which caused you to perk your head towards him and getting up to go and collect your order, thanking the man before leaving and walking out, past the skater boys, ready to go home before, "Oi," A weirdly nice voice called over to you, you looked over curiously but frowned as it was one of the skater boys you insulted, "You're from our uni, aint ya?" The guy sasid whilst walking over, placing his skateboard and stood onto the board with one foot.

"Yeah, sure.." Nodding and looking away, not really fond of getting caught up in business when you wanted to go home and study.

"Not the most sociable, are ya'?" He pouted along with his words, you gulped and shrugged, unsure what to say, "I am, just a bit busy at the moment," You mumbled and took a glance at him. Oh. The guy was a bit over 6 foot, he had light brown hair and an undercut but also had hair almost to his shoulder and it was slicked back, he was a good looking dude but you shouldn't judge someone just for being good-looking.

"Oh, did I disturb you then? Are you one of them that ACTUALLY study? Now, that's rare." He smirked softly before standing right beside you, "How about actually have some fun, you're in university, for fuck's sake, have fun," You look at him and scrunch your face a little in uncomfort. "Just a suggestion, don't look at me like that, take my number, I'll show you how to have fun, seems like you don't really know what fun is, hmm?" You roll your eyes, deep down you know, the guy wouldn't let you leave if you didn't get his number, "Give me your phone," You bluntly reply as without hesitation he did, you wrote in your contact in and looked at him, "I'm (Y/N)," You said with a small forced smile, "I'm Jean, I will see you around~" He waved you off with a playful smirk which just caused you to scurry off, embarrassed.

As soon as you got home, you were spammed with messages, "Hey!", "It's Jean", "Come out for coffee sometime?" , "If you have friends then come for a party sometime?" , "Didn't mean it rudely, just saying you might feel uncomfortable coming alone," Sighing at your phone, you felt obliged to reply, "Sure," I mean.. You weren't opposed by it... A hot ass guy inviting you to a party seemed like a really good thing, he was a little forward but you weren't so it all worked out.

For the next few days, a few texts went back and forth between you and Jean, small talk usually but there would be that genuine conversation but that was on an occasion, the party that was talked about was on the weekend of the week, it was a Friday which meant it was... tomorrow.

First thing, you had no one to go with and your mind thought so much about it, that you felt that you had to go with someone, I mean if you didn't you'd seem like a loner, right? Jean couldn't meet you as he was turning up with his skater friends.... So, you invited your closest friend to you, Armin - he was also not the party type so, if anything bad happened, you'd both go down together.
