And So It Begins

A/N: I should note that this is gonna follow the storyline of Fate/Grand Order closely, save for the fact that two characters are gonna be based on me and a friend, and we're going to have our favorite servants along for the ride as well. That being said, I will be using the NA FGO timeframe, which starts in 2017, but with some slight changes. Also, there will sometimes be memes, because as serious I want to write this, memes are gonna be a thing since I'm gonna write some of the events from the game

The Chaldea Security Organization, founded by the late Marisbury Animusphere, was tasked with securing humanity's future, and make sure it lasted well into the future. Olga Marie Animusphere, his daughter, became the director after his mysterious death. Using the data provided by Near-Future Observation Lens, SHEBA, they confirmed humanity's persistence for up to a century. However, recently, they discovered fluctuations in the data and observed a singularity in Fuyuki, in the year 2004, it was dubbed "Singularity F". Upon learning this, Olga had negotiated with the United Nations in order to properly investigate. Forty-eight master candidates have been recruited for this daunting task

A young girl of about 17 years with orange hair, wearing a long-sleeved shirt held closed by two straps and a belt, a black skirt and tights and white boots, groaned as she struggled to wake up "Fou? Kyuu... Kyuu?" she heard. Odd sound for an animal "Fou! Fou...Fou!" the creature cried out '...Feels like something licked my cheek' "...Umm. Since it's neither morning nor night, please wake up, Senpai" a voice called out to her "Where are why?" the orangette asked, as she woke up and rubbed off the sleep from her amber eyes "Right. That's a simple question. I really appreciate it." The now awake girl finally looked at the origin of the voice. The source was a pink haired staff member, also about 17 in age, clothed in a grey hoodie over a black shirt over a white-collar shirt, a red tie, a black skirt, and tights and brown shoes 'Huh, she's actually kinda cute.' The girl continued "This is the passageway from the front gate to the Central Command Room, which in from of the main Chaldea Gate" the girl had answered "Thanks for the information" the new arrival at Chaldea answered.

"...Ahem. Anyway, can I ask you a question, Senpai? You were asleep, but I don't see why you'd sleep in the hall. Can you not sleep unless you're on a hard bed?" the pinkette asked, filled with genuine curiosity "Was I sleeping here?" "Yes, like a log. It was such a deep sleep it was almost textbook" "Fou! Kyuuu! Kyao!" the small creature chimed in. The young staff member suddenly looked as if she realized something "...I completely forgot. I still haven't introduced you yet, have I, Fou?" she said, talking to the strange being "So what exactly is he?" the orange haired girl asked "This squirrel-like creature is Fou. He's a privileged life-form allowed to freely walk around Chaldea" the pinkette continued "Fou led me here, and that's how I ran into you, Senpai."

"Fou. Mmkyu, Fou!" Fou had cried out and ran off "He ran off somewhere again. He does that sometimes, just walks around" "...I've never seen an animal like that." The 17-year-old noted "Yes, normally he doesn't go near anyone aside from me, but he seems to like you Senpai. Congratulations, you are now the second caretaker of Fou in Chaldea" the pinkette stated with a warm smile 'I like her smile' the orangette thought.

"Ah, there you are, Mash" a new voice was heard "That won't do, you know, wandering about without permission..." a man in a green trench coat, with fur on the end of the sleeves and the collar, a matching green top hat, a tie and under coat, brown pants tucked into tall boots approached the pair "Oh, someone's already with you? You're... I see, the rookie who was just assigned here. I'm Lev Lainur, one of the technicians employed here. What's your name?" Lev asked the rookie recruit "I'm Ritsuka. Ritsuka Fujimaru." she answered honestly "Hmm, Ritsuka. So, you're the last of the 48 candidates. Welcome to Chaldea, I'm glad you're here" Lev smiled as he said this "Thanks, I hope I can be of some help." Ritsuka said "I heard you were selected out of many public participants. So how long was your taining? A year? Six months? 3 months?" Ritsuka was a nervous, and embarrassed, at the thought of answering his question 'I can't let him know I never had any formal training!' she cried out internally "I'll leave that to your imagination." Lev chuckled at the girl's response "I see that you already know how competitive it is in here. You're going to hide your information from your rivals?" he asked, not knowing of Ritsuka's embarrassment at her training, or lack of thereof. "Yeah, sure. Let's go with that..." she said, feeling self-conscious of her training, or lack of thereof. "Dr. Lev, Ritsuka's training was less than a few hours. I think it's from embarrassment." Ritsuka was crying on the inside right about now "Oh? Well now... I see. We had an emergency opening applicants to fill out numbers." That helped Fujimaru feel better, but not by much "So you're one of them? Do forgive me, I was inconsiderate." Lev had said "Don't worry about it, you had no way of knowing that." Ritsuka reassured "Please don't be discouraged because you're a public applicant. We need all of you for this image. 38 elite mages, plus 10 talented public applicants... Somehow, we were able to get all the candidates. That's something to rejoice over. This year, 2017, all possible candidates capable of Spiritron Dives were brought to Chaldea" he looked satisfied with this fact
