Darry: pretends he doesn't know what day it is because he hates being the center of attention.
Soda: is excited and is planing a crazy party.
Ponyboy: gets Darry a nice present and tries to convince everyone to do the same.
Two-Bit: forgets it's Darry's birthday and watches Mickey Mouse while accidentally eating Darry's chocolate birthday cake.
Steve: doesn't really want to be a part of everything, but he helps out Soda because that's his friend.
Johnny: Steers clear of all the commotion but he's still enjoying himself.
Dally: Buys Darry a gift that's probably been stolen or is illegal and claims he thinks birthdays are dumb but deep down he's having a blast.
