The Missing Stark

Part 3, Settling In~

"You haven't got your power yet?" Peter

"Nope. When did you get yours?" Olivia

"I'm not like some of the others, I wasn't born with mine. A spider bit me when I was 14, it's venom gave me my powers. I met your dad because I caught his attention." Peter

"Wow, I wasn't expecting that." Olivia

"Neither was I." Peter

"Are you glad that spider bit you?" Olivia

"Yeah. I like helping people, and I met some amazing people since then." Peter

"Do people know who you are?" Olivia

"No." Peter

(AN: I'm not 100% sure when his identity was revealed so I'm saying it isn't!)

"Do you wish they did?" Olivia

"No, I don't like being in the spotlight, people knowing who I am would make me stand out." Peter

"Why did my dad reveal who he was?" Olivia

"Well he doesn't trust the government or authority figures, so he revealed his identity because it removed any possibility of him being blackmailed by the government to do things he didn't want to do. Your dad also wanted the recognition for what he does." Peter

"Each to their own, I suppose." Olivia

"Would you want everyone to know?" Peter

"I'm not sure, but even if I didn't, they'd already know. If they found out I was his daughter, my identity is already revealed." Olivia

"You have a fair point." Peter

"Peter!" Ned

Peter and Olivia walk to the two people.

"Hey guys." Peter

"What are you doing here?" MJ

"Just going for a walk." Peter

"Who's this?" Ned

"This is Olivia, she's joining our school on Monday. Olivia this is Ned and MJ, my friends from school." Peter

"Oh, it's nice to meet you both, Olivia S- Olivia." Olivia

Olivia shakes both their hands.

"Ned." Ned

"MJ." MJ

"It's nice to meet you both." Olivia

"And you." MJ

"So, how did you meet Peter?" Ned

"My aunt is friends with Olivia's dad." Peter

"That's nice, did you recently move?" MJ

"Yeah, I moved to come live with my dad." Olivia

"Nice. So, how are you liking New York?" Ned

"It's amazing, but it is very busy." Olivia

"Yeah it always is. Do you recon I could get your phone number, Olivia?" MJ

"She actually doesn't have a phone at the moment." Peter

"You don't?" MJ

"No, I uh- broke mine. So I'm waiting for it to be fixed." Olivia

"I can give her your number when her phone gets fixed." Peter

"Thanks, Peter." MJ

"So where are you two headed?" Ned

"I was just showing Olivia around New York." Peter
