Chapter 1
Ivy
Do you ever just suddenly realize that when you are looking at the stars, or anything up in the galaxy really, that someone is looking at the exact same thing that very moment. You aren't sharing the experience at all, although you are experiencing it differently than they are.
It's thoughts like these that make me wonder what's out there in the endless expanse of the universe.
I take another sip of my tea as I gaze once more at the stars. I see a burst of light and then it's gone. That's rather strange, but maybe it was just a trick of my eyes.
I rub my eyes and shake my head as I get ready for bed. I change into my favorite pair of black leggings and a Harry Potter themed tank top.
As I shuffle into bed I feel like something is near me, like there's another person in the room with me, but that's silly. I had the lights on just a moment ago and there was nobody there. My windows are locked and so is my door so there shouldn't be a way for someone to get in.
Just as I start to really panic I feel a prick in my neck and then everything slowly goes dark.
                              ***
I awake to find myself in a strange room that looked similar to a padded cell, except on one side of the room, there are metal bars.
I hear footsteps coming closer and I fight the urge to hide in the corner. I sit still, and try to stay calm. I see a hulking alien that looks startlingly like a lobster except with hands and legs. I close my eyes and reopen them, hoping that this is a hallucination. To my dissapointment he was still there and still ugly.
Another one came along and started gesturing and look upset. He opened my cell door and started stalking towards me.
My prideful, and some-what foolish, part of me wanted to stand my ground but the smarter part of me screamed to move.
I scramble backwards until my back hits the wall. He simply grabs me and starts dragging me down a hallway until we reach a door. He opens it and I see a room full of little egg shaped things.
The lobster alien pushes me into the door of one and I look at the control panel and it looks like something out of a sci-fi movie. There is a control panel labeled with symbols that look completely foreign.
As I look at it in closer detail the lobster man slams the door and I feel my egg getting lower and lower. I see a seat that is too big for me with straps on it and decide that now would be a good time to sit down and get strapped in.
I do so and let out a hysterical giggle. I'm in an alien spaceship. I pinch myself really hard but to no avail. This is real.
As I let the fact that I've been abducted by aliens register I feel my egg plummeting down at an alarming speed.
After what seems like an eternity, I feel the hard impact of the ground. I clench my teeth from the force. Then everything is still.
The door of my egg pops open and I jump from the sudden noise. I look out to see a city nearby.
I slowly unbuckled myself and stepped out the door. There was no one nearby. I guess head for the city and hope that these aliens don't eat humans. I snort as I think about that.
I can see it now... Are you sick of making your own food? Are you tired of the same things every day? Well, with this easy meal plan you can have an exotic human ordered right to your city! Alive so you know that it is extremely fresh. Order now on the Hearty Humans app and get yourself a human today!
Although, come to think of it, that might not be so funny if my little joke becomes true.
I begin to walk to the city. The coloring of most of the buildings are a deep red that draws the eye.
I wonder what the aliens will be like. Hopefully vegetarian... and non-violent.
Sweat dribbles down between my shoulder blades, making me feel sticky.
I'm considerably close to the city when black spots start to cloud my vision. I stumble and my body slams into the ground. I hiss through my teeth as I feel more and more lightheaded.
I hear a shout and I sluggishly think that it would be nice to go a day without blacking out.

Authors Note: Thank you so much for reading! I know that this chapter is rather short but I thought that it was a good stopping spot. Hope you enjoy!
