Granny : So , may I start . Lisa : Of course granny . After that granny started telling her story . Now we will go back to 1949 . In this year on Nov 5 a baby girl took birth . In Bangladesh ( At that time it's name was East Pakistan) this happened . This baby girl is none but Lisa and Annie's granny . Oops I forgot to say granny's name . Her mom named her Zoya . Zoya grew up with much love , affection and care. She was the only daughter or more fairly only child of Mr. Rashid Akhtar. Rashid Akhtar was a professor of  a  University . He was a physics professor. And mom's name's Ameena Begum . She's a homemaker . Zoya was really very close to her parents. Especially to father . After all she's daddy's princess. She used to share everything with her father . Her father was her best friend which she could trust for all time . Days after days passed . Zoya grew up and she became 20 . It was 1970 , the condition of the whole country was worst . If u read Bangladesh history then you can learn why it happened. But here's a brief description regarding this : In 1947 Indian sub continent got independence from British . Two nation formed : India and Pakistan. Again Pakistan divided into two parts : West Pakistan and East Pakistan. Between East Pakistan and West Pakistan there's country India ( which's one of the largest countries in terms of territory ) . You might be shocked that what type of division this is . This is simply ridiculous. But this awkard division took place basis of religion . Because mostly Pakistanis are Muslims , most Indians are hindus . And in Bangladesh ( The then East Pakistan) major people follows Islam. They're Muslims. So , that's why this situation took place . And after that West Pakistan started oppressing people of East Pakistan. At last in 1971 , Bangladesh got independence after a nine month war . A year before liberation war in 1970 political unrest took place in East and West Pakistan. Many movements took place by East Pakistanis in order to raise voice against injustice done by West Pakistan government people. The situation of East Pakistan got worst . Schools, colleges and universities were shut down. Most Young students were preparing themselves for war in order to liberate the country during 1971 .
Meanwhile in 1970 :
Rashid Akhtar : The situation of the country's now dangerous . Anything can happen. We should shift Zoya to abroad for her safety and her career life . Rashid was talking to Zoya's mom. Zoya heard their conversation and she burst into tears. Zoya : I'll never leave you dad and mom . I love you more than anything . Saying this zoya hugged her dad and mom . Zoya : dad , mom why don't you leave this country and come with me . Our family will be protected then from this curse . Rashid Akhtar laughed and said , ' My little Zoya listen to your daddy , this is my motherland . This motherland needs her son. She's in danger and it's my duty to protect my nation from the hands of enemies. " Hearing this Zoya said , ' Then it's also my responsibility to protect my parents as well as my motherland from danger. And u want me to run away from this situation??" . Zoya : Answer me Dad. Rashid Akhtar : You are not fleeing away my dear . You are protecting your nation as well as your parents . Zoya : How dad ? Rashid Akhtar : I'll send you to another country where I'll not be with you then you will be learning many things of your life by yourself. You'll learn how to deal odd things . You'll recieve higher education from one of the most prestigious colleges in the world . So with your merits and capabilities you'll be able to develop your country . And this will make us proud as well . Zoya : But mom dad i don't wanna live without you . Rashid Akhtar : Oh dear just remember mommy and daddy are always with you . And it's just a matter of few days. After that Zoya hugged her dad and mom tightly. They three hugged each other . What a heart melting scene that was ! It could made anyone very emotional . It was night of Dec 21 , 1970 . Zoya was feeling sad that she's leaving home and her parents. Zoya , her mom and dad left for airport. Zoya was destined to go to England . More specifically London , the capital of United Kingdom . They reached airport . Flight time was near . Zoya walked to her mommy and daddy . Zoya : Dad , mom keep me in your prayers and bless me . Ameena Begum: my baby Zoya take care of yourself and be careful it's really cold in England, cover yourself with this blanket ( mom was crying after saying all these , motherly instinct) . Zoya hugged her mom tightly. Rashid Akhtar : come here my princess, let's daddy give you a kiss . I believe when you'll return to your homeland again you'll make your daddy proud . Don't worry , daddy will call you in every week and will also post letters . Zoya : I'll be waiting for your message daddy. And I'll call or post you if you forget to call or post me . Tears were rolling down from Zoya's eyes. She wiped it off with her hands . Then Zoya went to the flight . Flight took off and she fastened her seat belts . It took 12 hours to reach London from Dhaka . It was evening Dec 22 , 1970 . Zoya finally arrived in London, England.....
