Crying, Crushes, Compliments, and Confessions -Bokuto x Chubby! Reader -

“Are you doing better now L/N?” Bokuto asked, holding you by the arms now, you nodded, rubbing your eyes to get your vision back to normal.

“T-Thanks Bokuto, Akaashi-Kun, I really needed that, I don’t think I’ve had anyone to talk to about this in a long time, since I don’t really have any friends..” you smiled at the two boys, bowing towards them. Bokuto sent a smile back.

“We’re your friends, you come to all of our games, so of course we’re friends!” Bokuto exclaimed, “and friends sit with each other at lunch! So you’re welcome to join us from now on!”

A smile curved up onto your lips, you nodded, giving the two boy’s a close-eyed smile. 

“That’d be really lovely, thank you Bokuto, can we eat lunch now? I’m so sorry I interrupted your eating time,” you rubbed the back of your head.

“It’s fine L/N-Senpai, you were having a rough time, and you needed support,” Akaashi reassured, sitting down where his bento was, and getting back to eating.

“Yeah! You’re amazing L/N! Don’t forget it!” Bokuto declared, sitting down and picking up his food. You went and sat right next to him, pulling out your bento, and a smile covering your face as you ate with your new friends.

Three Months Later….

“HEY! HEY! HEY! L/N! How are you doing?” you heard Bokuto yell in the hallway, bombarding you with a hug. You squealed, the boy lifting you up while he hugged you. 

“Eeek! Bokuto! I’m doing great! Put me down!” you shrieked, a laugh coming from your mouth, not caring that there were people watching the boy twirl you around. This was now becoming the normal for the two friends, Akaashi just shaking his head at Bokuto. Bokuto was greatly helping you improve your confidence, and people were starting to leave you alone, as you were becoming friends with the crazy third-year boy. 

You started watching him at practices, cheering him on as he did his awesome spikes. The boy put you down, now people were starting to think the two of you were a couple, even though you were just friends with him. That didn’t stop mutual feelings from developing between you and Bokuto, his heart beating fast when he saw you cheering him on the sidelines with the other managers. The team became friends with you, you sat with them at lunch, hung out, and overall you were much happier than you were before.

“Bokuto-San put them down! You’re embarrassing them,” Akaashi reprimanded, resulting in the boy putting you down.

“Sorry L/N! I just got really excited, I haven’t seen you since last thursday,” the boy apologized, rubbing the back of his neck. You waved it off, a grin plastered on your face.

“It’s not a big deal Bokuto, c’mon, let's go eat lunch! I’m starving!” you laughed out, grabbing the boy by the hand and pulling him towards the usual spot you sat at.

“F/NNNNNN! You don't need to pull me, I was already gonna follow you!” Bokuto whined out, accidentally calling you by your first name. A small blush rose on your face, you looked away as Akaashi followed the two of you, staying out of the conversation.

“Why is it so cute when you say my first name jeez…” you muttered, Bokuto not picking up your blushy demeanor.  

“Cute? Well if you think it’s cute then I’ll call you that more often!” Bokuto exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear, you just blushed, letting out a giggle. The three of you made your way to the spot where you ate every day, sitting down and taking out your bentos.
