It's a cool autumn night, well more like morning, I'm curled up reading Draco Malfoy fan fiction in a corner of my room. My y/e/c eyes scanning the lines wishing it were real. My heart longing to be in a world like that, a world filled with magic, a world where I could be happy. Sure I have great parents, live in a nice area, come from a bit of wealth, but I'd rather have just one friend than the latest phone, brand name clothing, cleaning ladies, extra houses for no reason. I don't think my parents understand the struggle of making friends when everyone thinks you're just the spoiled rich kid. I have feelings too no amount of objects can fill the void of longing for a friend or a significant other.

My parents have each other, and here I am reading fan fiction at three a.m., to help ease the longing for friendship and or love. There would be no guarantee I'd make friends in a world like the Harry Potter universe, but there is hope. I mean it's not like I haven't tried making friends, they just always take advantage of my parents money, expecting gifts and to be taken places because we are friends. I set my phone down, and get up to look out my window, looking at the stars, wondering if the stars are just as lonely. "I guess I should sleep now being it's 3:27 a.m. already," I whisper to the stars before curling up on my soft sheets.

"Y/n darling, wake up, you're 15 today! You didn't stay up all night again, did you?" My mother's voice soft, like velvet , trying to wake me nicely. I roll over and groan looking at try mom, blinking, trying to adjust my eyes to the light in the room. Noticing the bags under my eyes she sighs, and places her hand on my cheek. "You need your rest y/n, so do you want to sleep another hour or two?" She asks looking into my eyes, seeming to try and read my mind. Shaking my head I sit up, knowing if I don't get up now it will throw off my parents plans for today.

"I'm ok mom, but can you make me some tea? I'll be down stairs after I get ready for the day," I yawned. My mother smiled and nodded leaving the room, her heals clicking on the ground loudly against the wooden floors. Once I can no longer hear her heals clicking and clacking I swing my legs over my bed, and stand up. The cold ground sending a shiver up my spine, I take a minute to let myself adjust to the temperature outside of my covers. I shuffle over to my closet to take out an appropriate outfit for the day. That outfit being a dark teal and plaid, pleated skirt, paired with a black short sleeved turtle neck. Slipping out of my sweats and t shirt I wore to bed, I replace them with the skirt and top.

A spray of perfume and deodorant later, I'm brushing my teeth in my bathroom. I tiredly brush my y/h/c hair for the fourth time, making sure it's soft, rid of knots. After applying a bit of mascara and eyeliner. I walk back into my room, to slip on the black thigh high socks, and step into my chucks. Turning in the mirror once more, I walk to the hall, and down the long staircase. My father smiles proudly when he sees me, "there is my not so little little girl! How did you sleep?"

"I slept fine dad," I state, my voice quiet, as I haven't fully woken up yet. I give my dad a thankful smile and walk to the dining room, sitting at the bar stirring the honey into my tea. My mother is standing on the other side talking to our head chef, her black hair complimenting her icy blue eyes. My mother is stunning, her elegant aura never fails to amaze me. She's wearing a new dark teal dress,  suiting her perfectly, it is our family's color after all.

My father owns several companies, and my mother is a well respected clothing designer. Our main, largest company is a shipping company, Locke shippings. Being their only child, I am the a heir to it all, my dad trust s I'll do great. I sip a bit of my tea before clearing my throat, to get my mother's attention. "So mom what's the plan for today?"

My mother turned to me smiling, "well my dear, first you can open the presents your father and I have gotten you. Then we will set up for the party this evening, that includes shopping, and decorating," she hummed, clearly excited. I nodded finishing my tea as our head maid brought out a few small gift bags, and two packages. I smiled thankfully to her before opening the gift bags, which contained new rings and earrings.
