You wake up, on a couch, in an office. That's all you know before you open your eyes. Keeping your eyes closed, you can feel people around you, and you know you are in Quantico because you hear sounds that are familiar to you.
"She's waking up. Thank god." you hear a voice say, and instantly recognize it as Emily's.
Knowing you are safe, and out of danger, you open your eyes. Gathered around you is the team, a look of relief on all of their faces.
"What happened?" you sit up and rub your eyes, trying to remember.
"You fainted." Hotch began, standing up from where he was sitting at his desk and joining the crowd around you. "Right after you walked out of the elevator."
"Huh?" you stare at him, even more confused than you were two seconds ago. "Do you know why?"
Hotch looks around the rest of the team, then back to you.
"Garcia, brief everyone on the case that just came in. I need to talk to y/n before we leave." he says, and reluctantly they all go, glancing at you worriedly before heading to the conference room.
You stand up, expecting to feel dizzy, but you feel fine, full of energy, even.
Hotch walks back to his desk and gestures for you to sit in the chair across from him. You sit and fold your hands on your lap to avoid fiddling with anything around you, which usually happens when you're nervous.
"So... What's going on?" you say, seeing Hotch is hesitant to talk.
"I had someone check on you while you were out, and they couldn't find anything physically wrong with you."
You breathe a sigh of relief. Hotch's brow however was still furrowed and he was frowning.
"If everything is alright why are you still looking so worried?" you say gently, thinking something else outside of this situation was bothering him.
He looks at you as he says, "No one faints just out of the blue, y/n, and if the reason you fainted wasn't to do with anything physical..."
"It must have been something psychological." you finish off for him. You studied psychology. Your mastery of it is what landed you this job in the BAU.
"Have you been under any stress lately? Have you been sleeping?" he asks.
"Yes, I'm fine." you say, he looks doubtful. "Really, I have absolutely no idea what could have caused this."
He stares at you, and after a few seconds he nods, "I believe you. But if it happens again, you have to take some time off. You can't be fainting on the job."
"I won't." you smile, "well, I'll try my best not to."
The corners of his mouth perk up, not really into a smile as he guides you out of his office and you walk into the conference room.
Everyone watches you as sit down next to Emily. Once you got comfortable in your chair you look around and smile at everyone, and the heavy tension around the room lifts.
"We're heading to Arizona." Hotch begins. "I'll fill you in on the ride there."
He glances around the room, "Wheels up in 20." And nods to everyone before heading out. The rest of you stand up and follow him.

On the jet you again sit next to Emily. You realize you almost always sit next to her, her presence being able to comfort you in a way no-one elses can. She's so grounded, always sure of her desicions and actions that you can't help feeling steady and clear-headed when she's with you.
