Running Afraid

"Samantha, please" I whined. She was on her computer in the office. Spencer looked at us while he raised his head from his desk, I guess he heard me. Spencer was the head officer.
"Working" Samantha said towards spencer, with a fake smile. Then looked at me. She got out of her chair. "That's why I love you" I said. I sat on her chair. I wasn't officially in the NYPD but she was, I was on probation. But Samantha is. People thought I was crazy thinking people murdered my dad. So the NYPD wouldn't help me so I had to take things in my own. I don't trust the NYPD.. But hey if you want to find the insane killer, you have to be little insane yourself. My father died 3 months ago. I know the killer is still out here.
I hacked into the captains reports, seeing all crimes and murders happening in the past week. I noticed they were all blonde females. Weird. One with arms cut off, other with eyes ripped out and fingers. "You know that's illegal" spencer said popping behind us which called us to jump. He then exited out. "Spencer!" I groaned. "Your not even aloud here" he said. "I should" I snapped. "You can't always be showing up and hacking into our systems" he said crossing his hands, giving me the 'you know I'm right look'. "I'm looking for Chris's killer, I know that persons still out there!" I said. My fathers name was Chris.
"Briana, he died 3 months ago, the killer probably got turned in" he replied. "Then we would of known" I replied. He didn't answer. I got up from the chair and grabbed my coat. Why do I need help from NYPD officers anyway, their useless, not wanting to help. My dad was a good guy. He wasn't a useless like the others.
I stormed off to the elevator then down to the main lobby. I walked to my apartment, great it was raining. I still had a few blocks.
A car pulled towards me.
