He took in the air around him, opening his eyes and watching the clouds in the sky go by. Sitting up he looked at the shadow on his lap. "Can ya do me a favor?" Angel asked the cat, its head perked up. Giving it one last head rub he asked, "can ya' look afta 'em for me?" Nodding the cat moved off Angel turning and disappearing into the shadows the building cast.
"There you are, Angie." Angel looked as the two women approached him. Both having their suitcases. He stood brushing any dirt off himself. "We were lookin' for you."
Shrugging Angel answered, "thought ya were out 'ere."
Molly was taking in the sites around them as Cherri replied, "well we went back inside to get Molly's suitcase. Since you were takin' so long, but I guess Alastor had it handled." She turned her attention to the streets as cars passed by them. "I just gave auntie a call she sent a driver to get us."
Angel gulped, nails digging into his hands. He looked down, "so we haveta ride together? I thought we were already in the town can' we just walk there?"
Cherri frowned, and Molly stood beside her at her twin's distress. The men of the group have just exited the airport though neither of the women noticed nor Angel. "We're not in Ridgway, that's an hour from here 'cause they don't have an airport." Cherri paused, "you can't make it another hour?" She asked, not in annoyance but genuine concern. Molly mirrored her expression.
The men behind them had the same look, well besides Pentious who seemed to be engrossed in the blatant drama. Alastor's lips were in a thin line.
Angel held himself, keeping his gaze down. Finally aware of the familiar sensation in his chest. Telling him just who was now in the vicinity. In a hoarse whisper, he answered, "no.."
The women exchanged a look, and finally took notice of the men behind them. Cherri's face dropped as she stepped forward, placing a hand on Angel's shoulder as she whispered back. "Okay, I'll have her send another driver so you don't have to ride with 'em."
She'd been persistent ever since that evening when the plan was brought up. Thinking that maybe Angel was just being shy and that all he needed was a push. It couldn't be helped really, not when she didn't understand the gravity of the situation between them. Though now, with Alastor and Angel near eachother she could see just how badly it was affecting the blonde. If the sudden lack of color and uncharismatic timidness was any indication.
This wasn't like Angel at all and it was sending all sorts of red flags Cherri's way. No, she didn't know the situation nor entirely understand it. But with this odd behavior, she understood one thing.
Angel was scared.
She took his hand in hers, holding it tightly setting her suitcase down. "You guys go ahead, well meet you there." She said to the boys as she took out her phone. Sending a quick text to her aunt for another driver.
"Is Angel feeling okay?" Daniel asked taking a step forward.
"Oh, he's just feelin' a 'lil under the weather. Y'know new scenery 'an all. Weighs heavily when you're from da big city." Molly jumped in, "doncha worry about us boys." She waved.
Pentious and Baxter didn't seem to care much already walking off taking in the sights while they waited. Daniel was apprehensive but joined them shortly after.
Alastor lingered, his gaze burning into the blonde who still stared down. He wanted to say something, that was obvious to the two females that stood almost protectively in front of Angel. As if Alastor were a threat that they were protecting him from.
Seconds passed before Alastor turned away joining the other men without a word. The car came along not long after a small black car.
Once they drove off the color gradually returned to Angel's cheeks.
