💕chapter fourteen💕

I awoke in what looked to be a pure white room I struggled to open my eyes and I froze. I was in a hospital and all I could hear was beeping I looked around and sat up in my bed I had a bandage around my head.

A nurse came into the room and nearly dropped the clipboard she was holding when she saw me awake. She rushed over and started to check my bandages and that I was okay.
"How long was I asleep for" I asked her quietly
"About three days" she replied she finished checking my vitals and then left she said she was going to grab me some food and a drink as my throat felt extremely dry.

She soon came back in and after I had eaten my kids ran into the hospital room and gave me hugs along with Harry. Soon they left and Narcissa came in

'I was so worried"
"I don't even remember what happened"
"You were called into work and you got knocked out I didn't think you would make it"
"Well I did and I'm fine now when can I go home"
"They can discharge you tomorrow"
"Oh great"

A day Later
I was getting ready to come home and I was looking forward to my own bed again I smiled as I left the hospital room and apparated home.
"Kids I'm home"
I then heard four pairs of footsteps running down the stairs and into my arms
"How about some dinner"
They nodded and i went straight into the kitchen to start cooking a dinner for my kids. I got thinking about my old friend sirius black and how he escaped. I hoped he was laying low and would not be found. Once the food was ready i shouted the kids down and an owl came through the letterbox so i walked over their was two letters.

One had very fancy curly handwriting who i knew as Narcissas and one with messy handwriting i was thoughtful on who it could be I walked into the living room mumbling to myself as I grabbed the letter opener and opened the first letter.

Dearest lilac
I heard you were home so i wanted to send you an owl to ask how you are. I have been worried sick about you as I care for you so much and I want you to be happy. Lucius has said his mark is getting worse so I am making sure I can keep draco away from whatever happens.

The second letter was harder to open

Dear little lilac
I am sorry I did not reach out to you before I have been trying to lay low and not be caught it's difficult being on the run from the ministry. I wanted to let you know I'm safe and that I miss you. Please believe me when I say I'm innocent and I didn't do what I was in Azkaban for

I was shocked to say the least I sighed in contentment perhaps life wasn't so bad after all
