"You know I'll just comply if you ask. No need to push so hard." You said, aggravated.

"You were with the likes of the sparrow, we put no trust in you. We've heard of your adventures. And you're a known runaway. Odds for us letting our guard down are not looking good for you." One of the soldiers said as they just pushed you harder.

"My time with the pirate is long over." You said dejectedly, looking at the ground.

You had desperately tried to put piracy in your past. Although tortuga might not have been the best place to go for that. You remembered your time with Jack. Although you didn't know if you remembered it fondly or not. Nevertheless, you were pushed on into a room looking out onto the ocean. And you were cuffed to a wall. You slid down to sit, still looking down.

"Y/n!!" A familiar voice sounded. You looked up.

"Will!" You fell as you tried to run to him, quickly being reminded of your metal bonds. He ran up and hugged you.

"Lord Beckett! You never mentioned an arrest for her! How did you find her!" He turned and said angrily.

"Y/n has made quite a name for herself. Or should we say Victoria? The little greek girl with the brand and the key tattoo. All we had to do was ask around about the whereabouts. I felt to give you a little surprise. You see the East India Trading company is in need of your services. We wish for you to act as our agents, in a business transaction with our mutual friend, Captain Sparrow." Lord Beckett explained.

"Captain Sparrow is only a part of my distant past." You said with your teeth gritted.

"More acquaintance then friend. How do you know him." Will questioned.

"We've had dealings in the past, and we've each left our mark, on the other. Including our lovely y/n apparently." Lord Beckett said, heating the metal "p" brand. You winced as the memory of yours came back to you.

"What mark did he leave on you?" You seethed.

"By the both of your efforts Jack Sparrow was set free. You y/n, we're actually set free the night before, by Elizabeth Swann, who has also been taken in and that crime being on of the reasons. I would like for you both to go to him, and recover something of mine that he has in his possession." Beckett explained.

"Recover? At the point of a sword?" Will questioned.

"Bargain." Beckett corrected. He walked over to a chest and pulled out something bound in leather.

"Letters of marque." He held up the item. "You offer what is the equivalent of a full pardon. Jack will be free, a privateer at the employ of England."

"You're talking about the slave ships." You looked up as you realized.

"Hush now girl, the adults are talking." The soldier pushed you with the hilt of his gun.

"Somehow I doubt Jack will consider employment the same as being free." Will countered.

"Freedom." Beckett said as he placed the leather bound item back in the box. Him and Will walked out to the balcony and continued discussing as you were left on the floor. They finally made the return into the room.

"You, your fiance, and your dear little sister face the hangman's noose. Return the compass, or there's no deal." Beckett said as he finally left the room.
