Sick

zoro's pov:

I stared up at the sky, folding my arms over my chest. 

'That's the 5th weird dream this week' 

I thought to myself, trying to piece together what it was I had dreamed up. 

Recently, I've been having the weirdest dreams. Weird dreams that felt so familiar, but I couldn't remember them as soon as I opened my eyes. I didn't worry about it at first. But it's been happening so frequently I can't help but to wonder what they all mean. 

That's not the only weird thing that has been happening recently either. 

"SANJI!!" 

"YEAH???"

"FOOD! GIVE ME FOOD!" 

"ALRIGHT, HOLD ON!"

I glanced over to see Luffy sitting in his usual spot. 

He laughed as he sat, his back turned to the sea. Sitting like that on the head of the going merry didn't look like the smartest thing to do for a devil fruit holder. But he seemed happy, so we all just accepted it. Doesn't mean I don't keep a close eye on him once in a while to make sure he doesn't fall. 

I smiled lightly, looking at the way his eyes shone at the promise of meat. 

I suddenly felt a strange sensation in my chest.

'There it is again' 

Another weird thing to be happening more recently as well. It didn't hurt, not exactly. It just felt as though my heart ached. My breathing would hitch at the most random times when I was around luffy. Usually I would just try to hide it from luffy. But the more I leave it unchecked, the stronger it has become. 

'that's it' I grumbled.

"Oi Chopper! You got a minute?!?"

                                 ~Time skip~

"Hmmm.... You aren't showing any physical signs of illness.. where did you say it felt weird again?" 

I sat in a chair chopper had pulled up, my shirt thrown in some random direction. 

"My chest. around here"

I pointed to the center of my chest. 

He walked over to his bag, coming over with a stethoscope. 

"Alright"

He pressed the metal onto my skin, listening carefully to my heart. He waited for a few moments before placing it in different areas on my chest. 

"...so...?"

"Your heartbeat is normal. I can't seem to find any underlying causes for why you have been feeling this way. It can't be you're diet, as we all have eaten the same thin-"

chopper was slightly interrupted by luffy yelling "MEAT!"

"well... mostly all of us.... I already checked everything in my books, but I can't find what's causing it. Sorry" He sighed as he went to put everything away. 

"No, it's fine. If you can't find anything wrong, then I should be alright."

I thanked chopper as he handed me back my shirt. 

"Nami said we were nearing an island soon. If you want, I can try to find some books there that can help. No promises on that though  Luffy said he was feeling the same way you did a while back, and i still haven't found anything."
